"I’ve been trying to get an appointment with someone, anyone really, for awhile. I’ve spent hours back and forth on the phone with positive perspectives and anthem trying to figure out how much I’ll have to pay to visit the doctor assigned to me. The office says one thing but insurance says another. I called today and broke down in tears, I told the receptionist I don’t want to cancel my appointment but I don’t know what to do. I told her I’m desperate and I give up. She was quiet for a minute and then said “okay got that cancelled for you.” I’m like suicidal and that’s all she offered. Not to help figure it out or anything. Thanks a lot. I don’t know what to do I need help."
"When I was a teenager I saw Rachel and she was really awesome. My parents stopped letting me go and then I moved away for college. When I moved back I called to see if she had any availability and surprisingly she did. I’ve been seeing her on a regular schedule for several months now and every time I look forward to my visits. Rachel has truly been amazing and I’m so happy I get to work through my struggles with her."
"I went to see one of the counselors there, Kurt, he was really nice in the beginning. He was a really good guy, very religious, and comforting. Then I had a session with him telling him I’m gay. He then told me he didn’t believe me, because he thinks it was a result of my parents getting a divorce. (Which in fact, I’ve know I’ve been gay since I was very little.) After telling him this, he then said that the Bible wasn’t okay with that, and didn’t think my dad would like the fact that I was gay. Later in the next session I had with him he was on his phone the whole time. He said it was because his daughter was in the hospital. Which by all means is fine, but why not just reschedule if there’s a emergency. It’s very disheartening when a counselor is sitting there on their phone when you’re trying to open up to them. So in the 4 months I went to see him I got anything but a positive perspective."

"I was told visits would be $40.00 with my insurance. On the day I arrived, I was told visits are $89.00. I was truly suffering and in crisis at the time. A phone call would have been prudent."
