"DO NOT STAY IN ROOM 430. This room was listed in the Hilton App as the "best room option" for my stay, but smelled strongly of perfume and chemical cleaners. Initially, I thought the smell would dissipate, but it actually seemed to get stronger throughout my stay. When I asked to have my room changed, the manager told me that he knew exactly which room I was talking about -- that a previous guest had "spilled oils" and that they had "done absolutely everything" but were simply unable to get rid of the smell. So why was the room still being sold by the hotel - as the "best option" no less? The most frustrating part was that the manager told me I should have come down to change my room in the morning (rather than the afternoon) so that he could have resold the room to someone else during the day. Again, why sell this room, if you know there is an issue? Plus, when I went to ask for a room change in the morning, the front desk staff were outside on a cigarette break, and I didn't return to the hotel until the late afternoon. I should not have waited two nights for the smell to go away -- and my room was changed when I requested to move - but why hotel management seems so keen on selling this room is a head scratcher, particularly when others were available."

"Overall greta hotel. Reasons I did not get a perfect score: My room was only allowed to get down to 68 degrees. Typically I prefer it around 65. This made for hot nights and kicking blankets off. Virtually no lighting in my room. There was a lamp on either side of the room, however, there was no lighting at all in the center of the room and was very dark to get ready in at 5am. Room 402. Breakfast area has tables that are too low. When sitting down on some booth style seating, the table was only an inch above my knee so I had to hunch over to eat. Breakfast was subpar compared to other locations. Soggy tater tots available one day. The next we were offered overcooked grits that felt more like cheesy mashed potatoes. Like most hotel breakfasts, it felt hit or miss. I'm sure on other days with other offerings, I would have been thrilled an appreciate the hotel bringing variety to their offerings, even if that variety is not my preference. I would stay here again and encourage the hotel to look into the minor issues I've shared."

"Spacious clean rooms... Great staff . They have cookies available 24 7 so that was a nice touch. Price is usually reasonable."

"This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced with a Hampton hotel. My aunt passed away and I booked this hotel through Expedia 12 Nov for 17 Nov. However, my cousin said that was not the right hotel and it was too far from the funeral, so I requested a free cancellation 13 Nov. The hotel has 48hrs to respond. 14 Nov I received an email that was reading as if I were staying, so I followed with a phone call. The man I spoke with told me it would cost because he didn’t see a cancellation request for 13 Nov and I even told him I could send it, but he argued that he was not sent anything, and it would cost because I was canceling the 14th. I told him never mind don’t cancel it because I was not going to pay that and he told me, “it’s too late, I already did.” I did NOT authorize him to make that charge on my card, which is therefore fraudulent. I called back the next day to speak to the GM and he told me he was the GM. I asked to speak to someone over him, he said there is no one, just two bosses. So if for any reason he thought I was about to email any concerns and complaints to him, he thought wrong. I gave him the opportunity to handle things professionally the day before, and he chose not to, so I brought this fraudulent incident to the attention of my bank to rectify the situation. I love Hampton, but this has by far been my worst experience with them."

"We stayed here after a long day at Kings Island. We arrived around 10pm and check in was quick and friendly. Our room on the 4th floor was clean and the pillows and beds were very comfortable. Breakfast in the morning was perfect. My daughter had a waffle and juice. I had oatmeal with nuts and fruit. The eggs, potatoes and bagel were also tasty. We left early and refreshed for another day at the park."
