"Most disorganized health "care" I have ever seen, and I am part of the medical field. This place reminds me of Pegasus from Grey's Anatomy. They will kiss your butt and promise to take such excellent care of you, but they don't even understand how to send a referral through their own system, and no one ever calls back. Do I really want these same people coming at me with a scalpel while I'm unconscious?? Nope! This experience has made me terrified of all doctors. I've been treated like a cadaver, with ZERO patient education offered to me. Continuing education is important, bedside manor and informing patients should be common sense. This place is not healthcare, they are just about profit and gaslighting. It's really sad, my favorite doctor is here and now after trusting him for 25 years, he's now just a part of the non care system."
"Its taken a long time to process everything that went on around the birth of our daughter - so long that their internal survey link expired so I'm putting this out to everyone. Leading up to the birth we only saw our assigned OB twice - she was never available for appointments even when scheduling a month in advance. Support from other OBs on staff varied greatly - some you could get good answers to questions from, others we just called "Dr. Google" because a Google search was all that they knew how to do. When it came to the birth, none of their fancy computer equipment was working at all, they wouldn't give my wife an epidural when she asked for it, when they finally did give in to set it they had to do it twice because they had to get the catheter in between contractions. They didn't get it right and left us pleading in agony for hours before they returned to set it in a third time. The pump that keeps the painkillers flowing into the epidural was never working the whole time and staff knew it, Nurses replaced that pump three times with no effect and only told us that "what you're feeling is only pressure" despite their tests showing otherwise. The doctor was content to let my wife suffer and push through the pain, but the nurse was finally able to convince the anesthesiologist to return and inject painkillers directly into the epidural cath - it was all smooth sailing from there, but so much agony would have been avoided if they would have just listened to the patient! We've found that the use of baby formula is demonized by all staff at all levels in the Aurora network. We had concerns about whether our daughter was getting enough to eat, but all their quack lactation consultants would say was that "if she's filling diapers, she's fine" Because of their negligence our daughter ended up dangerously jaundiced, forcing us to return to the hospital less than 24 hours after being discharged for treatment. Overall the lack of concern by staff and doctors for my baby's well being and the complete dismissal of any requests or concerns directly from my wife was shocking. Our family will never return to Aurora for any healthcare needs. Go anywhere else you can."
"I have been going to Dr. Morrissey since I had my twin daughters 20 years ago. He is an excellent doctor"
"Absolutely do not trust Aurora Women’s Health to take care of your labor and delivery needs. Go to Bellin or anywhere else capable of helping. I have never felt so disrespected and ignored in a healthcare setting as when I delivered my son at Aurora. They gave me a nurse just off of orientation who ignored advice and information from the previous attending nurse of 30+ years in labor and delivery. She refused to get a second opinion which caused me 45 minutes of agony where they told me I was pushing incorrectly but instead there was a medical reason blocking my son from being birthed that she would have been able to see if she had listened to the previous nurse instead of both her and her co-nurse ignoring the notes. They did not follow through on checking my epidural until it was too late despite hours of me sitting in agony and telling them I was in terrible pain (and the previous nurse suggesting we get the anesthesiologist to come check my levels). They lied to my family when they were asked what was going wrong and withheld telling me the reason I was unable to push my child out. The doctor then performed an episiotomy without informing me beforehand. After delivery they did not assist in telling me how to care for my wound or help clean up the immense amount of blood. They then, after 27 hours in labor and 14 hours in the hospital with only ice chips, did not find any real food post-delivery and gave me fritos and juice to hold me off for 4-1/2 hours until the cafeteria opened. They did not show or tell us much of the information they were meant to (according to nurses from other departments afterwards). They discharged us a day early from the hospital because they said we were only meant to stay 24 hours, which I later found out was untrue; because of the early release my infant was not supervised properly, became ill, and no one listened to us because they assumed we were young and dumb parents, causing my son’s eventual hospitalization and the realization that he needs a certain medication. They were cold and dismissive, and I would never recommend them to anyone. The doctor asked if he could leave my delivery to go to another one while I was fading in and out of consciousness and 5 minutes away from birthing my son. Avoid at all costs."
"I’ve been seeing Dr Pardini for 15 plus years. Her and her staff are wonderful. I love Aurora and their professionalism."
