"They get 1 star because 0 isn’t an option. My kids did the sports camp, where they were supposed to have a different sport each week. Never happened. Counselors kept leaving, they were stuck in a hot tiny room downstairs watching tv often. Kids complained daily about the counselors and one counselor even called me a name because I called the cops when the kids reported a grown man taking photos of them through the fence. It was a horrible experience and they never attempted to fix it once during the whole summer. I was told they would issue a full refund for the final week, which I have in writing and then they refused to issue the full refund they promised to give. Do NOT send your kid here for camp, you will be super disappointed. The director does not respond to emails either."
"The staff is very helpful, especially the instructors on the fitness floor. They are always there for all of the numbers. The instructor on the floor are always walking around. Making sure that the members are doing the right thing."

"I love the West Shore Family YMCA! I love the classes, the AOA activities and trips offered, and the small and cleanly atmosphere. I also love how friendly the staff and administrators are. I joined a few weeks ago and already made a few friends!"
"I love this Y because the staff, especially Dawn Dingeldein at the front desk, is always genuinely warm, welcoming and helpful. I like how the facility is mostly not crowded. I like the track around the basketball court. And, the steam room and sauna are great bonuses."
