"Dr. Hudson was fabulous! I brought my almost 9 year old Chihuahua in for a second opinion on a heart murmur. She got my girl in right away. They took X-Rays listened to her heart, got her started on meds to help her have a better quality and longer life, and did it all for $400. I'm on a strict set income due to being disabled and I only have so much to go around. I'm forever grateful and will be seeing her again in 2 weeks to make sure my girl is doing okay on her new meds. Thank you for saving my beautiful and loving furbaby!"

"I took my cat to this clinic a year ago. For vaccines and to be neutered. Everyone was nice, the vet mentioned he had a “slight” heart murmur. Said he was young enough to grow into it and to watch for any changes. Yesterday it came out of nowhere I called told them my cat is sick, I was able to get into visit them today at 3:30pm. I had to take my year in half old cat to be put down last night because he had CHF, not a heart murmur. The vets office should have looked more into this rather than just diagnosing with the stethoscope. I did call this morning to inform them that I would not be bringing my cat to them today and advised what happened. I let them know they should have looked further into this, as what they told me he had was something different. The response I received was I’m so sorry. I said me too and disconnected the call. I would strongly suggest a different vets office for diagnosis."

"I started using Lorain Animal Clinic when they operated on a walk-in basis. Everything is now appointment based, however it feels as if the “appointment” is simply a time to show up and join what would have previously been the walk-in line, in order to throttle demand and manage traffic levels. I have never been seen on time. I have always sat in their busy lobby for a minimum of 30-40 minutes before being seen, even when showing up on time or a few minutes early. When it is time to be seen, the visit with the veterinarian is always exceptionally fast, your pet gets taken to the back for any necessary treatment, and is brought back out in an exceptionally fast manner. Some may consider this to be stellar efficiency, however I have had multiple instances where I’ve had to return because the veterinarian’s initial plan for treatment didn’t work. I recently switched to a new veterinary office where I was seen shortly after arrival and I felt my time was valued. The doctor and staff took their time to get to know me and my dog, and I had great results after my first visit. The entire staff at Lorain Animal Clinic has always been courteous and accommodating. Their pricing is reasonable. I trust they are competent, however due to the volume of clientele and the speed at which they operate, I am no longer confident in their ability to fully diagnose and treat issues correctly the first time around. If you are in need of treatment for your pet beyond a simple exam, vaccines, neutering, etc., I’d suggest looking elsewhere."

"I've been to a few vets in the area, some had very bad management, others would not be honest and charge you for things you didn't need. Lorain animal clinic has served our pets well since I found them during the pandemic. Honest, kind, efficient. I recommend them to everyone."
