"I had been a patient of Dr. Chan's (and more recently, Dr. DeLeon), and had always been treated with kindness and respect. The current approach of the office staff, however, seems to prioritize money over care. Furthermore, at every step, each person claimed "that's not my department" when I encountered problems. More specifically, I visited the office today to pick up a set of custom orthotics; my experience was frustrating and appalling. Rather than admit that the procedure for using insurance to pay for custom orthotics hadn't been made clear at my prior appointment, the office manager, Jessica, spoke to me as if I were incompetent. She insisted that I sign additional paperwork about financial accountability (over and above the paperwork I signed about financial responsibility when I became a patient). Jessica told me that this paperwork was a "CYA" measure, which in itself bothered me. When I told her I was uncomfortable with the language in the paperwork, I called the insurance company, who explicitly advised me not to sign the documents. Jessica became agitated and placed me on the phone with Wendy, the billing manager. With a clear attitude, Wendy asked, "How can I help you?" despite the fact that she clearly knew my concerns. She had no interest in my concerns. After spending nearly an hour attempting to come to some sort of resolution, I left the office without the orthotics and having forfeited the $250 that I was asked to pay at my previous visit. I'm still stunned by the employees' laser-focus on money, with little regard for the human factor. If you're looking for a podiatric office that cares about the whole patient, look elsewhere."

"I would never use this practice. My family doctor sent a referral for me last week. I called the office Friday at 3:30 to schedule an appointment. I got voicemail and left a callback number. I didn't hear from them, so I called back today (Monday) around noon. The woman who answered the phone was extremely rude and acted like I was an inconvenience to her. I will take my business elsewhere."

"Dr. Chan and her assistant were both very thorough and professional. They were on time and on their “A” game. I was in promptly and out with everything I needed to go to the next phase of treatment: ew shoes and proper support systems. Thanks a lot."
