"Family member was in the ICU on the 11th floor and for the most part, they were great. Then they were moved to the 10th floor. The room was filthy. As you can see in the pictures, there was some form of body fluid on the walls and floor. A man came to clean the room and gave us extra trash bags because he was going on vacation and no one else bothers to clean that area. Not to mention that they would let my family member sit in their own waste for almost and hour after we informed them of it. In addition, they rarely adjusted my family member, causing them to get bed sores. As an example, they had adjusted her around 11 am. By the time I left around 5, I had asked the nurse 2 separate times to readjust them and they still hadn't done it when I had to leave."

"Never go to this hospital as a hospice patient. Nurses do not know how to handle. One doctor and nurse specifically were beyond rude! No compassion! One doctor stood at foot of my mom's bed and loudly berated our family for questioning him. There were some good nurses but the bad ones far outweighed the good. Need to review common courtesies and fo follow through for families and patients."

"The security guards at the ER on Saturday 1/20 were amazing with our large family. My father-in-law had a stroke and was air-lifted to Miami Valley. 12 and more family members came into the ER waiting room in waves... and the security guards between 10:30a till 9pm were more like hosts, giving everyone updates and information along with being flexible, patient and confident. Given the stress of their job as security at the ER of a downtown Trauma Center, it's extraordinary that they can also be so strong in customer service. In our case, Miami Valley Hospital was excellent every step of the way."

"We delivered our 2nd baby June 8th 2022. I will never deliver here again. The maternity beds are on a timer to inflate with air every hour. This is to help hospice patients to not get bed sores. Well maternity does not need that help I assure you! We actually prefer the bed to not move and inflate making a ton of noise. I don’t think I slept in 3 days. Our room A/C was broke and felt like 60 degrees the whole stay. I requested it to be checked to get the room Warmer but no one came. The nurse who put in my IV blew my vein after 3 tries. My entire arm was bruised. None of my meals ordered were correct. I asked for the baby to go to the nursery so I could sleep after my 32 hr labor. They said I needed more bonding time and never took our baby to the nursery. When I was trying to sleep a nurse would come in every hour of the night to check my vitals. I specifically asked for 3 hours of sleep 1-4am. No such luck. It was a traumatic experience. Our first baby was delivered via forceps and vacuum in the Operating room. I will never step foot in that hospital again."

"I rarely give bad reviews. I also usually give the benefit of the doubt. This hospital deserves no stars. My paralyzed from the chest down father had cervical spinal surgery 4 days ago. Upon talking with the doctor post surgery we made it very clear our biggest fear was pressure sores while he is here. He's been having bad headaches, he is in a lot of pain from the surgery and isn't feel well overall. He is also diabetic. My dad mentions on the phone this morning he has yet to be bathed, his incision has not been cleaned and he has also not brushed his teeth the entire time he's been here. He is unable to do anything on his own right now due to having limitations from surgery. Today after calling and complaining they finally bathed him only to find sores on his feet!!!!! A diabetic paraplegic should always have their feet checked! I talked to the nurse manager and asked for an advocate which they do not provide . She only mentioned that I could make a complaint which isn't what I want to do, I want him taken care of. I am writing this after waiting 5.5 hours for a wound care team and for someone to come clean his incision. Both have yet to happen. We are waiting to be sent to Cleveland VA for real care but he's having complications from the spine surgery. He is having bad headaches and drainage from the surgery. Also patient status and plans are not clear. This place should be ashamed of their so called care."
