Doctor's Orders Beach House

"The house is beautiful, but there were several issues while we stayed for a week. One of the biggest problems was we reported a gas leak with the range on a Tuesday and it still wasn't fixed by the time we left on Saturday. This greatly impacted our ability to cook meals for ourselves. We had to call for more towels and bedding. Even though they only allowed 1 towel and washcloth per person for the whole week, we were still short. Fortunately, they responded the same day and brought more over. The clothes dryer needed to be run multiple times in order to dry towels/clothing so wasn't very convenient. Each bed only had 1 sheet and 1 blanket, so several people were cold during the night, although others were comfortable so adjusting the thermostat wasn't ideal. The closets did not include hangers. For the price paid for the week, we expected better amenities like a working range, access to more towels and blankets, plus and hangers to hang up clothing. The plus side was that the kitchen was mostly stocked with items needed to cook. The golf carts were available for our use, although only the larger one was the only legal to take to the beach. The community pool area was nice, although the clubhouse did not have any pool tables/games and then was only open for a few hours a day. The beds were quite comfortable except for a few in the bunkroom were said to be too hard. The sofa sleeper in the casita was quite lumpy and uncomfortable. Our group still managed to have a pleasant time and enjoyed our family reunion."

"Doctor’s Orders was the perfect home for our large family vacation. With a main home and adjacent small house, we had plenty of room for everyone. The neighborhood is quiet and quaint. The house is stocked with everything you could possibly need for cooking, relaxing, entertaining, going to the beach, and traveling around the area. The beach and shops are so close, and the two golf carts meant we could all hop on and ride around the town. The online pictures of the house are beautiful, but this house is even more impressive in person. The living area is huge and was a great place to sit around and talk or play board games. Teenagers congregated on the upstairs porch and adults enjoyed the downstairs patio. All of the bedrooms and bathrooms offer plenty of room for sleeping and getting ready for the day. Our family loves everything about this house, the neighborhood, and the short distance to the beach. The owners were great to communicate with and were always very responsive. They truly thought of everything when preparing this house for rental. Doctor’s Orders—we will be back! :)"

"Had a great time at this home! The house was exactly as described. Felt right at home. The hosts were very responsive when we reached out for assistance. The check in instructions were clear. The house had everything you needed for the beach, including toys, umbrellas, chairs etc. The house was centrally located right near the beach. Very peaceful area. Plenty of room for large groups. Would definitely recommend and come back again to stay!"

"My family completely enjoyed our week stay over the 4th of July. The beach house is decorated so cute! Plenty of space and perfect size rooms. Sunrises from the balcony to sunsets on the beautiful white sand private beach was so perfect! We had so much fun jumping the waves, taking walks and seeing all the unique trees and magnificent homes, eating at multiple restaurants, shopping, watching fireworks at the beach, swimming in the pool and just sharing our time together!!! Truly appreciate the owners, Ken and Franni’s, communication to ensure we had everything we needed. Absolutely recommend booking your family getaway here! Looking forward to returning...."
