Oakbrook Village Apartments

"My husband and I were approved for a two bedroom last week. I started reading a few of the reviews. One person recently wrote that the place is a mice motel. We will be moving in next month so I wanted to be sure that the review was incorrect. I had my friend who works for the City pull up the information. I am happy to say there are no violations for what that person stated. I understand not everyone will be happy where they live, I wish people would stop ruining it for others. My husband and I are retired and have had a hard time finding a place that actually look's like it does online. The girls in the office were very helpful and kind."

"I just wanted to personally share my experience that I’ve had so far with Oakbrook Village. Seeing the property with the location that it has is truly stunning. I called and asked for an appointment and was greeted by Dawn. She’s truly one of the best leasing managers in the complex. I would highly recommend asking for her if you are in the market for leasing an apartment here."

"Lived there for 2 years without issue, it's the best apartment complex in the area and it stayed at a great price point. Hard working groundskeepers and property management, good noise buffering between units, plus a nice area in town with several shops in walking distance. Units come newly renovated, please check them out if you're looking for a nice place to live."

"This is a mixed review. We lived here for two years and I’ve always wished we could have stayed longer because we really did enjoy staying there. My only issue is that the first year we signed it was roughly $1150; a year later rent was increased to 1400$ and if we stayed another year it would of been $1600+ for 1 bed/1 bath. At that point we choose to rent/move into a house with 3/bed/1bath for $1400….if rent hadn’t been so high for such a small apartment. I cannot support what is essentially scalping renters during inflation. My gripe was never with the staff. I’m not sure if the same people are there but when we lived there; the office manager was always very attentive to our needs if something got missed for repairs. The maintenance team was also always very friendly but short staffed. They really are stretched thin between the whole complex. The pools were very maintained as well and the complex in general was peaceful where our apartment was. I however, cannot speak for other tenants in different areas of the complex. When it came to moving out the office manager was also very accommodating and understanding when I got the move out date wrong. I’m 50/50 on recommending renting from here. It’s the cost of living there that is the biggest issue"
