"Roach fest do not apply for the 2 bedroom that's currently available full of roaches. They're screwed me over trying to charge me a water deposit when I never Moved in Will update this later. I will be suing them. I will add more pics. Reporting them. Liars Update: they didn't charge me the deposit and i did not move in. I called and they had this unit available. wasn't ready to see. i said, are there bugs, roaches? girl at office said no. said i will apply now to hold it etc but i will need to see it as soon as it's ready before i sign anything. week later i decide to drive around the neighborhood to get a feel and wow it's in the terrible stage of being an absolute ghetto hood. just drive through to see for yourself. Nothing like when i first toured them back in 2010 when the gate house security was there. so i get out and decide to check out how my potential future building with my unit in it is and as i approach i see my future unit with the door wide open on a Saturday....no peephole glass even in the trashy door but i digress. Roaches galore. This amount of infestation will not be removed by the apartments. They were EVERYWHERE, even in front of the entry door way in the hall. Thousands of LIVE roaches and some dead, but not all and probably no more will die from what they will do as this kind of infestation just....wow.... all sizes from itty baby to large adult German roaches. I have never seen anything like it. Not just infestation, this is some next level insane that is not fit for human livability and is illegal. There is no way they did not know it was infested this bad, but took my money and told me there were no bugs flat out to my face. When i emailed her and cancelled the hold and demanded my money back (which they did give back, but I had to wait for that for a while) she emailed back saying she can understand why I wouldn't want it in that CURRENT condition....to which she was seemingly referring to the fact that also all the appliances had been removed from the unit as it was mostly gutted and the kitchen had no flooring etc and they were working on getting it move in ready but no, as if they would have been able to make this a beautiful and bug free unit prior to my scheduled move in day which was about 20 days from my seeing it. NO WAY. those thousand bitty baby roaches are IN THERE. Period. The spray they may or may not put and the other measures they MAY use are far below what would be needed to get them out as they are in the walls etc now. if you live there in this unit or in this building and have roaches in that building please use this as proof they are and have been well aware of how bad it is, and I can send videos and many more pics.....they are aware. They don't care. i would use this to sue them and to also get out of your lease as this was illegal to even rent. They probably also moved those appliances full of roaches to another unit now, spreading them. I have seen this first hand at other apartments as it's standard procedure. You can't move anywhere without inspecting first but I wouldn't move into this place even if you see your unti because with units like this, it spreads. Plus, they will deny it as I have seen, so you run too much a risk. There are nicer places in Mount Dora to rent anyway. Whole place oozes ghetto and dirtiness. I would move as soon as you can if you live here and are not used to ghetto life and bugs and do not let them bring you a "new" used appliance from another unit if yours goes bad. Demand a new one because it will probably be full of bugs. Had she been honest with me, which of course they won't but she could have alluded to me not applying.... i wouldn't have applied and would have saved myself the time, money, and hassel and then they wouldn't have gotten these bad reviews."

"Called today and some lady answered and seem uninterested in even talking with me. Was rude and had an attitude. I asked could I see an apt before apply and she said nope ! Well then I look down on the reviews and it happens the apartment is full of roaches right now. I sense shady stuff going on in this complex."

"Waited for leasing agents no one was in the office, once we spoke to “jen” she was rude didn’t offer no information. Felt I had to pry it out of her. Didn’t even write down my info. She was uninterested and unprofessional, maybe she had better things to do?"

"We have lived here for 7-months and enjoy the apartment. The grounds are well maintained and maintenance staff is excellent at their jobs. We've had a few items that needed repair and were taken care of quickly. The office staff is the easiest to work with. They take in deliveries and ensure the items are kept secure until picked up.We did have a "situation" with an upstairs neighbor and it was handled very quickly. Would recommend this location for prospective renters."

"Though my family and I are leaving this apartment complex for various reasons (ranging from outgrowing our own space to our inconsiderate downstairs neighbors), I will say this place is amazing. It was our first time being able to have a home to ourselves which has been amazing. If you are open minded to the fact that the buildings are older and the walls are thinner, you'll do just fine and you'll be able to make it your home. For the price, the apartments are great and well kept. It's close to everything, including downtown Mount Dora, yet still secluded from the noisy US Hwy 441. Keep in mind downstairs neighbors, some of us do have little children that are still learning the concept of walking vs. running, and there's always nice ways to go about approaching us upstairs neighbors versus banging on our doors like banshees! :) All in all, management has always been fantastic throughout our stay and maintenance has always been very quick to assist any of our needs. We couldn't have been happier except for the ongoing battle with the nuisance downstairs neighbors that grill on their back screened in porch, banging broomsticks on their ceiling, and feel that leaving poor google reviews are the acceptable ways to get their needs met. (feel free to review their past reviews of their apartment complexes***) We will always stick with Cagan's Management Group! -the noisy upstairs neighbors that work 12+ hour shifts and still manage to have a happy two year old, despite having mean downstairs neighbors! :)"
