"I recommend going to another hotel. The swamp cooler was not sealed to the wall, and I was bitten all night by mosquitoes. I've seen a couple of small roaches in my room. It was difficult to unlock the door to my room, I had to wiggle the doorknob and turn the key in the opposite direction. When I checked out, the manager asked for the television remote control, which they did not give me when I had checked. He then started repremanding me that I should have asked for it, but I don't watch much television."

"I am often a low budget motel type of guy so I'm used to places with no extras. The Placacio does have a mini fridge by that's where the extras end and the negatives begin. My 1st disappointment was when I found out that there is no airport shuttle or cruise port shuttle as advertised. The check-in desk clerk is behind a glass wall with a tray that slides out to put your ID. I see that as a statement about the neighborhood. It appears to be a very old building that has had multiple repairs that don't really fit together. It has many rough edges. The room widow curtain didn't fit and was falling down. The bathroom sink faucet sprayed in many directions. The bathtub appeared so dirty that I thought it would take sand paper to clean. The AC/heater was very old, very loud and the buttons were very worn but they worked. I saw a bug run across the nightstand. So I opened the drawer to find more bugs. I opened the mini fridge to find bugs running around. I felt like I didn't want to touch anything. I didn't want to stay there for the 2nd night of my reservation and a refund was refused. If I could assign a negative star rating I would."

"Room are clean. Beds are nice and soft. The desk staff here was so helpful. He knew we had been up traveling all night because I told him how our flight was delayed and we had been traveling since 8 PM the day before so he put us in the first room available several hours before allowed 3 PM check in."
