"I really hope a manager reads this. Today Oct 23rd around 5 pm I brought my vehicle in for a battery diagnostic and replacement. The employee that came out to scan the battery stated that the battery read 0 volts and needed a new alternator. He proceeded to offer to replace the alternator for me before replacing the battery. It is against Autozone’s policy for any tech to replace customers alternators for liability purposes. This was immediately a red flag. The tech did not even show the diagnostic showing the battery was bad. I went over to another autozone right after, they scanned it, said the battery was low and replaced it for me. If a manager wants to reach out to me to get more details on the employee please feel free to do so. Otherwise anyone reading this, BEWARE of employee’s scamming you at this location. 10+ years as a technician advisor and electrician. Better luck next time."
