"BE AWARE STAY AWAY February 15th 2024 update. IT'S NOT DONE!!! WORST company ever! It is a JOKE. They should not built pool for anyone. The permit is expired and they haven't perform the city inspection. Someone was working in the old files and realized it last week... incredible. The color light is not installed, the chlorinator is not working and the concrete slab for equipment will probably never be repaired. Imagine that even Pentair doesn't lose is time with this company. They asked INDIGO POOLS the company we should have been done business with first to honor the warranty and they install the light. STAY AWAY! We signed our contract in december 2021 and still not having the permit yet. More than 120 emails to get all documents required because our sales girl, very kind and available but not efficient, seems to have 700 pools to built. HOA expert? They put the blame on other for all this mess and more, suggested to dispute the Hoa rules because they dont know what they do when the initial plan had to be redraw!!! Try to join a supervisor, no answer so here is why I wrote a review.... it is a nightmare! Phase 1, the easy part, should be completed by september 2022... (if we are lucky) and they say it will take 5 to 7 months to start and complete the work as they have no scheduled plan and they refuse any commitment. We expect to have a hole of mud and a messy yard for a long time. Sorry to my neighbors. Let see if construction worker can be more efficient than sales rep. We were ready to lost 8000$ but we decided to take it as a joke and we open bets on how many year this project will take! In comparison, Jackson pools took 5 weeks to build an entire pool with a seawall in the path. We have 43 more pools to build and clearly, we will choose a serious company for it. So if you like to fight for every single part of a project and have time for it, this is for you! Update 25-10-2022 Still nothing yet. No calls, no emails, no pool. I was told to cut and cap my irrigation system 10 months ago... I didn't! One positive note, there is no damage to the pool cage due to the hurricane... there is no pool cage. Update 21-03-2023 15 months later and still hoping having a pool one day. The only person we can reach is the constructing billing person and it is a new one, wish you luck. The coordinator wont answer any of our questions for 45 days now. At least it seems she received the emails because we have movements after weeks of writing about mistakes done. For most of them, the construction workers are competent and helpful. You must speak spanish to have an idea of what happen. Thank god I do! But without anybody in charge or any supervisor and absolute lack of communication from the office, even if they do their best, mistakes are left in almost every single construction step. For example, Installing pool equipment before the concrete slab is done, exiting the piping under the kitchen window 20 feet from what is on the plan, drop the rocks on the path to the construction site (and the boardwalk) so the excavator cant reach the site without damaging a new area and a long list... I missed several days with kids and family visiting us because it is impossible to have a schedule plan of the steps to come and have to be there to try to make sure things are done properly. Have done many things by myself to complete the job. Lots of stress as they show one day without any notice and disappear for weeks after. The good thing it's not paid in full so they better finish the job. The bad thing is we leave in 3 weeks and it clearly wont be done. Couple pictures of where we are. It is very sad that a company with so much good construction workers don't have the support of the office to have a great customer service and pool construction experience. I found a new name for this company, Holiday Fools!"
"I sure wish I had looked at reviews before signing with Holiday Pools. Signed contract Deposit of $6272.00 10/25/22. I got my ARC approvals 02/03/23. Paige said delay in permit was Pasco County. Said it was an electrical issue. I went to Pasco Permitting. The electrical issue was that their electrician had yet to pay his license fees and workman's comp. Finally got permit 04/14/23. 04/18/23. They did not have permission to access off side road. He drove over and cracked 3 sections of sidewalk that I'm liable for. He didn't even try to minimize damage with a steel plate or wood planks. 04/20/23 7 pallets of pavers delivered. Thank goodness I was here to direct him to go ahead and access the same way since damage was already done. They are at least on work site and not on small street out front or my driveway. 05/02/23. Gunite installed. They used same, unapproved access. Broke a fourth section. Payment schedule required me to make the next huge payment of $27, 978. I thought we were on a roll. Submitted a change order for 16" kick plate. Sent another $1900. Footer forms and ground wire done 06/23/23. Nothing since! My emails and calls are usually ignored or I get a deceptive excuse within a few days to a week from Paige. Awful company!! My beautiful new house. But,me and my neighbors look at this mess in the back daily!"
"Two weeks into our pool constructed and maintained by Holiday Pools and this is the outcome: a major leak that is yet to be addressed and standing water with nothing by algae. What is not pictured is the complete lack of accountability and unresponsiveness on the part of Holiday Pools. In addition, our pool has zero functionality of the features (i.e., lights, jets, fountains, etc.). There are numerous options related to pool contractors and maintenance services in the SW Florida area. Please stay as far away from Holiday Pools as you possibly can. A pool is supposed to be an oasis and an earned luxury - they have made it nothing but a nightmare."
"Update 4/21/23 The company is now stating that I have to pay the balance in full before they will replace the water bowls and fix the screened enclosure that is not level. Poor business practices. Update: 2/14/23 yesterday was "pool school" since everything was supposedly completed. Several items not up to code: 1. Electrical - pool light not working. 2. Pool heater not working, pipes were installed backwards and theres a leak, 3. Water bowls are cracked and need replacing, plus 1 of them does not work at all. 4. The screened enclosure is not level so they are deciding what's the best way to fix that. Do your research first. There are other companies out there to do a better job in much less time. April will be 2 years since I started this process. Update: 8/10/22 last failed inspection was over 3 weeks ago. No one has come out to repair. I was told the owner of the company was going to call the inspector to find out why it keeps failing. I emailed the owner and still no response. Approaching 16 months of construction and pool is not even half way completed. I guess next I'll have to go to the BBB or the media. Still beyond frustrated with this company. Let me start by saying thank you for those that posted previously. I was leery about posting before my pool was finished but after waiting over a year and a month it's time... So we signed our contract May 2021. They didn't even start the process until Dec 2021, which at that time all they did was clear the area. They didn't come back until late Feb 2022 citing the delays were due to getting behind because of COVID. When they came out at the end of Feb they broke ground and stated it would be 6-8 weeks before it would be completed. Well after 3 failed inspections and spotty follow up from the sales agent I'm beyond fed up. I have emailed several times and will get responses saying they are coming out, but they never show. This has happened at least 5 times. I have called the number provided for the main office in Sarasota and spoke to someone and left messages when no one answers and nothing still seems to be getting done. I've been told there is a shortage on concrete as another reason for the most recent delay. Well at this point I would think my pool should be a TOP priority. I was told that a superintendent was coming out today and a crew to fix the reason for the most recent failed inspection and I would have another inspection tomorrow. NO ONE showed up today. I work from home so I know when someone comes out. To make a long story short, this was a bad decision to go with this company. Their finished product may make me change my mind... but right now it's a huge NO WAY. I can't even use my back yard at all."
"Update 5/15/22: In March we posted a complaint on the BBB website which received an immediate response from Holiday Pools. They setup an on-site meeting with the cage company and said they would get everything resolved. Unfortunately, 8 weeks later the pool is still not complete. They did repair the pool cage, which took 4 weeks, and they did some cement work. We attempted to contact Holiday Pools multiple times this week and there has been no response. As a data point, many neighbors are getting their pools built and completed in less than 8 weeks. Original review: We signed a contract with Holiday Pools in August 2020. Taylor M, our sales person, said the pool would be complete by the end of December 2020. After much prompting, the pool build actually started in February 2021. Now, one year and seven months later, we are still waiting for a complete pool. The shell, plumbing and most of the equipment has been sitting there for months. The pool cage was partially completed and one beam has buckled from the wind. It looks like it may fall down at any moment and this is a huge safety concern. We notified Holiday Pools of the issue 2 weeks ago and nobody has even shown up to look at it. When Holiday Pools actually shows up, maybe once a month if we are lucky, they work for a day and then disappear again. We have repeatedly asked for a completion date and there is no communication from the company regarding this. The few times we have been able to speak to anyone at Holiday Pools we hear the typical excuses… Material shortages, lack of labor, COVID, ect. While those are reasonable excuses, Holiday Pools started our friends pool in October 2021 and it was completed 4 months later. So the obvious question, why weren’t those workers and materials used to complete our pool which is more than a year past the expected completion date. And the next question, if they do have all these problems why does Holiday Pools continue to take on new work. Holiday Pools has invoiced us multiple times for incomplete milestones, each time I respond with pictures of the incomplete work but the invoices continue. The work that has been completed has various issues that have not been addressed, like sharp glass tiles on the spa, concrete splattered on the coping, a pool cage that is falling down and so on. We warn everyone we meet to stay away from Holiday Pools, they appear to be too busy with the large home builder contracts to pay any attention to individual homeowners."
