"This is the must disgusting hotel I've ever seen. We checked in and went to the room. Lasted 15 mins and checked out and found another hotel. The pictures of the rooms are not accurate. The carpet was torn and frayed in multiple spot. Dead bugs all over the bathroom. Mold in the shower and tub. Room smelled like smoke. The room was filthy. Took the room keys back to the front desk and check out. THIS PLACE IS A DUMP!"
"Front desk people were awesome. Friendly and helpful with local suggestions of what to do in Sarasota. Fairly near Siesta beach and Lido key. Clean. What you have read it is fine, but there was a few places that could’ve been touched up with some paint. Quiet. No questionable people hanging around. Laundry had reasonable rates for the washer and dryer."
"This Baymont is on the older side but a cute shabby chic hotel. The staff are outstanding. Front desk agents go above and beyond for every guest. The breakfast lady is amazing and one of the cleanest kitchen areas I've ever seen. Housekeeping service was at request but they always did a great job and left the room feeling fresh. I see so many bad reviews on here about this place but for the price, the convenient location (only 15 minutes from the beach and 5 minutes from eclectic downtown Sarasota, and the amazing staff they have it's definitely worth overlooking the old building and it's quirks. I think with some updating of the buildings themselves this could be the best hotel in the area."
"Worst experience ever. Wish I could add the photos I took! AC unit felt like it was blowing cigarette smoke in my face. The bathroom floors were covered in dirt and grime. The door latch was broken off. The carpet was coming up. Loud trashy people yelling outside the rooms. This place is a trap house at best."
"Had the unfortunate experience of being locked out of my room, and separated from all of my belongings. The immediate service I received from the young lady working front desk...was something from the past. The GM showed up at 7-8pm to try his absolute best to get me back in room, but to no avail. Situation was resolved immediately in morning. This type of service makes all the difference to me. If you are looking for a decent property in this area to stay.....you can't go wrong with this one. Best bang for buck. Great job guys!!"
