"For some unknown reason my review was deleted. I'm a local reviewer. And I see and post it as it is. The pool though nice is never conveniently open for public access (10:00 am till 4:45 pm Wednesday-sunday). I had no idea of this lap thing. But apparently it is something to make a note of- and that the visitors are also making note of. Restaurants are overpriced for what you get . Yes it's the island and they want to gauge the visitor-I know the game. In the early mornings there are so many homeless and rats around. I would reconsider eating at pavilion beforehand. And the seats and chairs are for the patrons of the restaurants only ????? I've never seen anyone being kicked out of tables but the signs are all over. I come to run at the beach because living 3 miles away and being overwhelmingly taxed for living here I can and will rightfully do so. But those are my bits of knowledge of this place that I come to quite often."
"We love this beach, restaurant, and facility. However, the City of Sarasota seems to cater to the snowbirds and the pool staff reflects this. The hours of the pool are cut drastically in the summer. The attitude of the staff is nearly hostile towards families and restricts them to one lane while lap swimmers take priority. Children are micro-managed even under parental supervision and while observing safety policies. I hope to see this change in the future."

"Pool was very nice and well maintained. Water was cooler than the beach which was great on a super hot day."
