"Updating to 5 stars to say I deeply appreciate the TMCA taking this issue seriously! I have so much respect for y’all caring about the comfort of your patrons. Pretty disappointed in the behavior of the staff I wittinesses today. There was an older man in the gym today with a silver hoop earring and a large, chunky silver chain bracelet who was bothering lots of people. He walked up to me and angrily snapped, “how much longer do you have with this bench??” I paused for a moment to do the math in my head to answer him, but since I couldn’t answer him immediately he angrily stormed off yelling, “OH NEVERMIND” immediately approaching another woman and performed the same uncomfortable temper tantrum with her. I’d like to note there were three benches being used by men and he did not approach any of them to gripe. Only the women. He proceeded to loudly complain (directly behind me) to a female employee(trainer?) about, “Where are all the benches!???” The employee calmly said, “They’re being used” then he angrily complained some more and stormed off. The employee and the woman she was (maybe) training exchanged some remarks that implied to me this bothersome behavior from the man is a regular occurrence. That he frequently bothers female gym/goers here. My husband finished using the bench he was on and it was empty for a good 5-7 minutes, and this bothersome man who was constantly circling the bench area didn’t come claim it. When I finished using the bench I was on, the rag I was using to clean it off hadn’t even fully left the bench and this man had already yanked up the bench and was storming off with it. Pretty Insane behavior. I guess he just really wanted to use MY bench. Weird. Later on we saw him bothering MORE people, seemingly bullying them off their equipment so he could use it. He even began grabbing the equipment they were using before they had fully left it, just as he had done with me. Once again I saw him interact with a second female employee and the employee calmly and politely interacted with him after witnessing some frankly very erratic and concerning behaviors. Overall this is a nice, clean gym. It’s quite small and cramped at times but you can always manage to find the equipment you need, you just may have to wait a few minutes. However, its very concerning to me that this man seems to be a known bothersome menace at the gym and the employees just smile and roll their eyes. Does this YMCA not reprimand or punish people who harass their other patrons? That certainly doesnt make me feel comfortable coming here without my husband. The front desk was inundated with other customers so I never got a chance to speak to an employee about it. Although I have a feeling they wouldn’t care given the interactions I saw upstairs."

"Clean facility with very helpful and friendly staff. Off-street parking (YMCA does validate parking). Weight area was very crowded the evening I went and the stretching area is extremely small but well equipped. The women's locker room is nice and well kept. My only negative experience at this location was a mother bringing her two boys (between the ages of 5 and 10) into the women's locker room and shower area."

"This fitness center is perfect for catering to everyone's individual needs. The workout equipment is excellently maintained and offers a wide range of different workout equipment including treadmills, step climbers, dumbbells, weight benches, and much more. Furthermore, this specific gym provides various amenities like a sauna, steam room, work tables, Wi-Fi, and a basketball court that can be utilized for playing volleyball or racket ball. Additionally, they offer complimentary coffee and have conveniently placed water fountains throughout the facility. Personal training sessions, fitness classes, Yoga, massages, and swimming lessons are also available! In my personal view, the greatest feature is the availability of childcare at the gym. When selecting a gym, one of the key considerations for my partner and I was that it not only had to provide childcare, but it also had to prioritize safety and ensure a secure environment for our children. The level of security provided for childcare at this gym is outstanding! They have numerous lockers, showers, and even a small area equipped with mirrors and electrical outlets (for hair dryers, hair straighteners, etc.) as well as a counter for applying makeup, allowing you to prepare for the day's activities. Furthermore, they have two swimming pools with lifeguards. A few minor down sides would be the limited access to the slide in the pool, as it may be unavailable for various reasons even during designated times. Additionally, the size of the sauna and steam rooms are small considering the number of members who use them. Despite the presence of a few insignificant drawbacks, the numerous advantages overshadow them, making them seem negligible in comparison. Overall, I highly recommend this gym!"

"I love this Gym! The facilities are clean and visually welcoming. There’s plenty of natural light and that really helps get motivated. The front desk staff are always very kind and knowledgeable. The manager Dan is super helpful, profesional and welcoming to me and my family. Sometimes just going to workout at my Y makes my day. The ambiance is very uplifting and all the amenities are perfect for a day to just relax or get a nice workout session. I will be a member there for as long as I live in Pensacola and I’m not planing on moving :)"
