Super 8 by Wyndham Ellenton Bradenton Area

"Starting with the outside appearance, the place is completely filthy, you will see around the parking a lot of garbage and we also saw a barbecue grill. By the entrance where the garbage dumper is there was like 20 mattresses in there, the lobby area was super dirty. Second, the room smell was unpleasant, we tried to used the sofa bed and the mattress that it has had a stain and mold around it, overall this place is a trap house!! Do not recommend !!!! Just disgusting!"

"We stay in hotels are least 250 times a year due to work all over the United States. This hotel is very nice, clean bathtubs, soft n fluffy towels, comfortable bed it looks recently updated. They have truck parking and smoking rooms, laundry and through doordash many restaurants to choose from!"

"I checked into this location Tuesday Dec. 19th at 11:00pm and checked out Wednesday Dec. 20th at 11:00 am. Upon check in, I spoke with Linda about asking for a 12:00 check out, as we arrived late. She advised me to contact the front desk in the morning and request the check out, as it should not be a problem. That morning I spoke with "Bill" who was extremely agitated with this request, denied the request, and then asked me "Why did I choose not to put down a deposit on the room" I told him that I was not asked to put down a deposit upon check in. He again asked me why I chose not to put down a deposit, and I again told him that I was not asked to put down a deposit. We left the hotel before 11:00 am and left the room VERY clean and picked up. The next day, we noticed an additional $112 charge. It took us 4 days of trying to speak with "Bill" about this charge for him to come up with an answer. He stated it was because we smoked in the room, which we did not. Upon explaining the mistake to "Bill" he proceeded to yell at me, act aggressively, refused to let me speak to the property manager. After asking him to review the multiple cameras on property that would show us outside smoking, and not in the room, and asked him to speak with the 3rd shift front desk person, as they saw us outside also, he then hung up on me. I attempted to call the property back 4 additional times, only to be hung up on by "Bill". My boyfriend called the property on a different number and asked if we needed to come up to the hotel and speak to him, "Bill" cussed at him and told him to "Bring it" and then hung up on us again. We then contacted the corporate office, and "Samantha" refused to help us with the situation and kept referring us back to the property manager, who we have not been able to contact and refuses to discuss the matter with us and told me that they can't "force" the property to refund us anything or ask them to look further into the situation. I would not recommend staying at any Super 8, especially this specific location. Their customer service at the property and at the corporate level is not for the customer, but only for the benefit of the hotel chain itself. If we smoked in the room, I would have no issue paying the fine...however we did not and were able to provide physical proof, yet it was completely ignored. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!"

"If you set your expectations appropriately this is a great place to stay. It's right off of 75 which is very convenient, and there is plenty of shops/restaurants a short drive away. However this is an inexpensive motel next to a truck stop and a shipping yard. The rooms are dated but surprisingly quiet. In our first room the tub wouldn't drain, but everything else worked okay. The beds are nothing special, but they aren't bad either. It's a budget motel and, all things considered, a very good one."

"The rooms were nice and clean. Everything has been updated. The staff was very nice. Not sure what people expected from an older motel. Plus if you want a 5 star resort then go pay 5 star prices. This was very affordable served the purpose for what I needed the area was safe and quiet. I was pleasantly surprised the bed was very comfortable."
