Hampton Inn Tampa-Airport/Rocky Point

"Great hotel and great location! I have to say that Jackie, Victoria, Katie and Megan went above and beyond to help my daughter and I out! They took such great care of us! I am so thankful for them and for how they made us feel like family!! Thank you so much! If we make it back to that area, we will be sure to stay there again!!"

"First let me say, the location is great. The staff is absolutely phenomenal! Very friendly and accommodating. However, there is a cleanliness problem here. I should have taken it as a sign when I saw a black ant crawling up the wall of the elevator, but whatever, it IS Florida. There are bugs. So I blew it off. As soon as I got in my room, my feet stuck in sticky matter on the tile floor (The floor is tiled from the bathroom to the foyer area). Of course then whenever I walk, I get that ripping sticky feet up sound. It was very clear, the tile floor was NOT cleaned by housekeeping. SO, if the sticky stuff from the foyer wasn't mopped or otherwise cleaned, that means the bathroom floor tile was not cleaned as well. Now I am getting grossed out. So, I mopped the foyer myself with a washcloth. Attached is a picture of the cloth after wiping up the small section of foyer (not the entire floor). As you can see, it obviously hasn't been cleaned in a LONG time. The carpet in the room...well...lets just say that even in my socks, my feet stuck to the carpet and everywhere I walked on the carpet there was that peeling sound of stuck cotton sock peeling up when I walked. There were no other bugs or cleanliness issues. Paying almost $200 for the night for this....was extremely disappointing to say the least. I should have payed slightly more and stayed across at the Holiday Inn."

"I had a very nice overnight stay. This location is close to the airport, but without the noise and congestion. I would choose this location before any of the hotels closer to the airport. It's very scenic and offers places to take walks along the water. The rooms were clean. The front desk staff was awesome!. Megan & Rolanda were super helpful. Especially with getting me shuttle rides to/from the airport. They also helped with some local eateries. Also the complementary breakfast was delicious and fresh."

"This hotel has the friendliest staff I have ever encountered in a hotel! I chose this location because it is close to the airport, but not "too close", and there was easy access to many parks and beach locations (even though the hotel is not a beach hotel). In addition to the excellent staff, everything at the hotel was the usual Hampton Inn standard -- good rooms, lobby, great breakfast. Another first for us was how easy the TV/display in the room operated , and we were able to easily use our own Netflix account --- my spouse commented on this multiple times as it is rare that the TV operates well in hotels!"

"This place is a winner all around. The staff is so professional and caring, they truly care about guest comfort and happiness. The breakfast from Miss Janice was wonderful. She puts caring and personal pride in her work. Victoria at the front desk was great. Rooms were clean, beds super comfortable and a very convenient location. Would certainly recommend and will be back."
