Homewood Suites by Hilton Tampa-Port Richey

"I am so disappointed by this hotel. Was able to pick my room during an online check in but when I got there I noticed the room they gave me was not the one I picked because that was out of order, while I understand things happen I do not understand why she didn’t tell me up front and that led me to believe they were hiding other things as well. Had to ask for extra garbage bags as there were none, there was a big hole in the bathroom ceiling and one on the bedroom wall as well, the bed was too hard and not comfortable at all. On our last day we went down to breakfast and I when I asked for a yogurt was told very rudely “ NO YOGURT”. I have been in customer service for over 30 years and have never talked to someone that way. I expected so much more from a Hilton. My boyfriend was so excited to stay here as when he was younger he worked for Hilton and convinced me to stay here claiming the standards were really high. Such a let down. He was embarrassed and disappointed."

"Front desk people were amazing , Especially Tina and Kimmie. No matter the request. These ladies deserve a bonus. Or a substantial pay grade increase. Housekeeping was great, The pools were awesome breakfast and Wednesday meet and greet was much more than I expected. Thank you to the whole team. We stayed around six weeks. I can't say enough"

"I loved going here until I had a bad experience with room 117 on my girlfriends birthday. it smelled horrible and was dirty! There was fleas and fruit flies. Called the manager STEVEN and he apologized and he SOUNDED SYMPATHETIC. He promised a discounted rate next stay. I call a month later and he offered me $119 rate which I looked up and could of gotten myself on Google. I thought half off would of been fair. This discount did not even cover the cost of the ruined $60 birthday cake we threw away because of flies getting stuck to it! I threw away all our clothes and bags because I didn't want to bring home bugs. This was not fair!! My past stays were great and the girls at the counter were always GREAT but I always picked a top floor. Apparently the bottom floors are for animals and bugs. This is truly a shame we loved coming here! it was nice to relax and have a swimming pool and hotub. Looks like I won't be coming back, and for anyone reading this, DO NOT request a room on the first floor! Learn from me!"

"We were here visiting family. I travel a lot for business, and I have to say this hotel ranks at the top of my list. Our stay was relaxing and refreshing. All of the staff went above and beyond to accommodate us when needed, from extra towels in the room to fresh muffins by the kitchen staff. The hot tub was also marvelous, and my little dog also enjoyed his stay (two paws up). Thank you and we look forward to returning again soon, you are our go to place in New Port Richey!"
