Commodore’s Retreat is right on the beach with quick and easy private beach access. 10/10 would recommend for your next family vacation."

"Lovely view, with elevator and boardwalk being real time savers. However, the unit was small and outdated. Walks and floors are paper thin and wifi is unreliable. The tub in our rental unit was apparently cracked and leaking into the unit below us. The HOA maintenance rep came into the unit without knocking, left without repairing, and told us we couldn’t shower for the remainder of our trip. There was only one bathroom and we’re there to enjoy the beach which means we need a working shower. The vacation rental company’s solution (after multiple attempts to contact them) was giving us the code to a house to use the shower- not within walking distance and not to stay, just to go use the shower. We have to pack our toiletries, get in the car (still sandy from the beach) and drive to the rental house. We arrive and the door code doesn’t work. No offer for a late checkout, no offer for a partial refund, and no apology. Unacceptable."

"I honestly loved this place but it is dirty. It had so many accommodations that made getting a two year old on and off the beach easier. It also made unloading and reloading the car a breeze with buggys provided next to the elevator. However whoever is cleaning the room between guests has done horrible. Upon arriving I found cheezits underneath the couch. And now as I am preparing to leave I find HIMS pill packets (Viagra) underneath the dresser and bed with loads of dust and insects everywhere."

"The best feature of CR is the view and that it sits right on the beach. It's easy for healthy people to get on and off the beach. The Condo, 306 was comfortable. We had a lot of blowing rain. The Condo leaked around the ceiling fan and over the dining table which is no small feat since we were on the 3rd floor of a 4 story building! Otherwise, a great location and a great trip!"
