"We stayed at this place several years back and it was great. We just got back and this was very different experience. It is a beautiful house, however… Here is a list of the things we experienced. There’s no ice machine on site, even though there’s an ice bucket in the room. No secure Wi-Fi, The Bedspread was dirty. I asked for extra bath towels, and they said no problem, Two days later we still didn’t have them. I left a note at the front desk when no one was there, two days later still no call on my cell phone. The room: One day it was hot, the next night it was freezing. You have no control in your room. It’s one central heat/cool system. Room nine squeaky bed. It’s sad because this is a great little house with horrible service. We will not be staying there again."

"Love the historic home and walking distance to historic downtown. Front desk woman was very friendly. We had room 19 at the villas. Other than the ceiling fan not working the room was great. Highly recommend the Coombs."

"Enjoyed it very much in room #6, love the claw foot tub, view, beautiful architecture, clean room. Step up to bathroom is a little high, definitely not for handicapped though wasn't a problem for us. Had plenty of coffee supplies available in the lobby, wonderful big porches with rocking chairs and tables. Main road next to it is busy but rooms are as quiet as can be expected in a multi room building. Of course it's near everything so very little driving necessary, some would even walk the few blocks to shops, museums and restaurants. I'm not crazy about remote check in since I don't use my phone for transmitting personal financial information but I didn't have to since I had made reservations at home so am happy both processes are available. Do recommend it and will stay here again for future visits."

"We stayed here for 1 night in room 12, it was not the room picked to stay in, it was definitely cute and old fashioned which I loved, but the pillow cases had crusty brown spots and obviously weren't cleaned or replaced. The people in the room upstairs were slamming doors and fighting at 12:30am so the place is far from sound proof but thankfully that only happened for a short time and during the day when we were there it was peaceful. There were no coffee pods in the room, a note saying to ask the desk for them but no one answers the phones. Cute place, needs some work to make it actually sanitary though, and customer service needs improvement but otherwise is a nice spot close to everything."

"We had a great stay at this hotel. It's a historic building, so it should be expected to be in a historic condition. The room was clean and comfortable, but the beds could be better. The hotel provides shampoo and basic toiletries, and the room had basic amenities for leftovers and coffee. There was plenty of storage for clothing. If you have some loud guests, you will hear them out in the common room where most rooms adjoin to. There was a nice balcony that faced a not so busy street which had ceiling fans and chairs. We didn't need anything, but the staff was friendly and on-site throughout the stay. The hotel met our expectations and we will be sure to stay again in the future."
