"I suggest staying far away from this establishment!! The workers are rude. They don't want to help and make these "supposed" sales more confusing then they are. You can't see the prices. They change the prices from what's on the tags when they ring you up. Once you get home you'll lose any wording or decal on the shirts. I would stay far away!! It's a tourist trap! Plus, when you try to contact them via phone and email they won't call back or respond! Horrible place!!"
"The worst beach store in Destin, I tried on a T-shirt, and it smelled like BO. And I bought a pair of goggles that they said I couldn’t open up to try on, then when I got outside with them and tried them on and they were too small they wouldn’t take them back. They were entire situation on top of everything else. Don’t waste your time. There are plenty of other beach stores within walking distance."
"The store itself is pretty large and has a good amount of stuff, but the prices are high and the customer service is horrible. I was in line behind someone else and immediately after the person in front was checked out, the cashier left to go fold some clothes! I was extremely baffled and waited for a few minutes before she came back and said “there’s a bell, you know” and pointed to a bell, which I didn’t see. I shouldn’t of had to ring a bell. You seen us there and left, and came back with an attitude! I bit my tongue because honestly, I would’ve been much more rude to her than she was to me and I didn’t want to make a scene. According to the receipt her name was Cezara. Definitely won’t be coming back if that’s how the employees act.."
"Alvin's Island has a nice selection of stuff for men, women, and children. I found some swim shorts that dual as regular shorts. My daughter found a nice hoodie for $35. They also have necklaces, beach toys, and many types of Souvenirs. Better selection than at Sunsations."
"Must go if wanting souvenirs, they've got a lot. This one has a HUGE shark hanging out front for a good photo and memory! Be prepared to spend a lot, obviously. I'd recommend it!"
