"My appointment on December 23 with Dr. Day was a horrible experience! He was very rude. Dr Day would not let me complete a sentence regarding my eyes. When I again tried to clarify something about my eye condition he rudely interjected, “I’m not interested in anything you have to say, only what is written on your records,” and then continued on to say, “I don’t want to have you as a patient and, I want you to get out of my office!” So I got up and left, and he followed me into the waiting room where there were many people and staff and he yelled, “take her record off our computers, I don’t want her in my office, she’s balmy.” This whole incident was only about three or four minutes long, but leaves a very negative impression of Dr. Day and the facility where he works. I read reviews about him after this experience, and was absolutely shocked at how many one star reviews he has where people talk about his rudeness and abusive behavior! It’s flabbergasting that opti Mart, still employees someone who has so many terrible reviews, most mentioning how rude and abusive he is! Read Less"

"My family and I have used Opti-mart of Inverness for the last 7-8 years and have never had the issues we did during today's visit. I was astounded at how much has changed in a year. Now I'm not one to nit-pick everything, but today was definitely the exception and I feel the need to explain our new experience and it's icks... (1) The prices for frames have hiked up ridiculously high for their quality, regardless if they're covered by insurance or not. (2) Other than Dr. Day, the entire staff were all transfers (it's been the same faces for years). Despite seeming very kind, they weren't all that helpful in giving information/answering questions, and would just blindly direct us on what we needed to do or where to go because they've changed the entire system of how they conduct appointments apparently. (3) We've ALWAYS been in and out of the office within about 1 hour and 15min for both the exam AND fitting, but today we spent nearly twice that there, 70% of the time just waiting around. I can understand the wait if they were busy, but there was only three others in the office. (4) An older gentleman and his wife waited with us at the front for maybe 10-12min whilst the girls continued to laugh and chat about whatever before he spoke up and asked if he could be checked in. (5) Very little seating inside nowadays, used to be much more room in years past. I feel bad for those who come in on supplemental oxygen or with physical disabilities that can't have a seat because there's none to take. Overall I'm just very disappointed in today's overall experience, as we've never had an issue with them before. I hope leaving this review might open someone's eyes and take charge of the situation, as I know for a fact I wasn't the only one today alone who was upset with their visit."

"Dr. Day was an arrogant jerk today. I asked how much longer it was going to be. Instead of saying give me 5 minutes or whatever he said what did you expect? I said i expected to be called back after the the previous person left. He said "perhaps you should go somewhere else." So i said ok. I guess only his time is important. Well excuse me."

"I was pleasantly surprised, the staff were very courteous and helpful. Dr.Day was very nice after the exam I didn't need a new prescription only glasses since mine are 4 years old and in rough shape and they did not try and get me to buy anything I did not want. So I am very pleased with them. Pat S."

"I have neglected going to an eye doctor for a long time and a coworker recommended Opti-Mart. I am very grateful that they did because I need glasses. I was very impressed with all of the staff. Dr. Day is amazing. He is very candid and honest which I really appreciate and he thoroughly explained the tests and what he was seeing in plain English and didn't use medical terminology. Danielle was very helpful while I picked out my glasses and patiently explained the lens options and prices. I will update when I get my glasses, but I highly recommend this location."
