About Us
The Parkinson's Disease and Movement Disorders Center of Boca Raton, founded in 1999, is dedicated to providing exceptional care for patients today while working towards finding cures for tomorrow. Located at 951 Northwest 13th Street in Boca Raton, Florida, our non-university based academic center is home to five internationally recognized specialists in Parkinson's Disease and Movement Disorders. Our interdisciplinary team offers patient-centric care that integrates wellness activities, medical treatment, and research programs to accurately diagnose, treat symptoms, and slow progression of these conditions.
We are committed to raising awareness in the community about the importance of early diagnosis, new treatments, opportunities to participate in research, and available educational and support services. Our newly remodeled center spans two buildings connected by an open courtyard with picnic tables, trees, and walkways. The Wellness Center, located in building 4, complements medical care with non-pharmacologic interventions to optimize treatment plans.
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are actively exploring the relationship between the virus and Parkinson's Disease, as well as researching new drugs such as SEP-363856 that show promise in helping with Parkinson's Disease psychosis. Our Director, Dr. Stuart, and other specialists are dedicated to advancing knowledge and treatment options for these conditions.
For those interested in volunteering for Parkinson's research or seeking resources and support in South Florida, we recommend visiting the Parkinson's and Alzheimer's Education & Research Foundation (PAREF). This 501(c)(3) non-profit organization supports research initiatives, educational programs, and community outreach for patients, caregivers, and families affected by Parkinson's and Alzheimer's Disease. Together, we strive to improve the lives of those living with these conditions and work towards a future free of movement disorders.

"The worst run medical office I have ever been to and I have been to a lot. They offer clinical trials but the staff do not know vital information about the studies they offer. I had 3 visits and never once saw the doctor, only one inept medical assistant after another. They ran a million tests, kept me waiting for hours on end, and had me repeat tests over and over due to not knowing how to use the machine and clerical errors. In the end, they said I did not qualify for the study do to a medication I was on. Should that not have been checked before wasting over 15 hours of my time, taking blood and putting me through countless tests? With this experience, I have to believe this is a mill where they could care less about actually helping patients. Avoid at all costs."
"The staff is the worse ever. They will not answer calls always goes to voicemail. They will not return calls, almost impossible to get an appointment unless you make it when you visit the doctor. I like Dr Dewey he is amazing, but I cant get answers and appointments when needed. I left a voicemail to reschedule my appointment over a month ago, nothing from the staff, I have Parkinson's Disease for heavens sake! Time is essential!"
