"I made an appointment here as a first time patient and during my online check-in I was asked for a $522 payment. I called to speak to their billing department and was told that since they’re a private office that they “pre-collect” payments.. I have never been seen here and they haven’t billed my insurance company so I’m not sure how they know the correct amount to “pre-collect” but this is just not right. If you have health insurance you should not pay anything until they bill your insurance FIRST. insurance then decides what to cover and what you’re responsible for… NOT the doctor’s office. Do not go here, do not pre-pay especially if you have health insurance."

"If I had the option to not rate and leave zero stars I would. Where do I start. My daughter is 22 and she’s been having severe abdominal pain. A few years back she saw Dr. Watkins so we decided to go since she was so great. Unfortunately when my daughter made the appointment we found out that Dr. Watkins was no longer a part of the practice. My daughter went in for her first appointment on January 12th and was advised that there was a $223.00 out of pocket, the price alarmed me but it didn’t seem too odd at first since it’s the start of the year. I work in health insurance so I am familiar with out of pockets. It weighed on me so when I got home we called our insurance company and confirmed an out of pocket but unfortunately they could not confirm the amount due because the provider had not yet billed, so that’s when it hit me. How were they able to charge my daughter before her visit when they are truly not aware of what they are going to end up billing at the end of her visit. My daughter advised me that while she was there she had to ask the doctor for an ultrasound because she was not comfortable with the final diagnosis of “oh it’s just cyst in your ovaries this is normal”. An appointment was scheduled for a follow up ultrasound we get there I ask them about the previous $223 dollar out of pocket and there were a millions reasons why they billed her. Long of the short I figured I couldn’t prove anything without the claim/EOP so I decided to wait to review once it was submitted. I leave my daughter there so I could take a call for work. I text my daughter after my call to see how long she would be and she advises me that she had a $500.00 out of pocket. WTH, today was the 19th I called my insurance a few days prior and was advised that we actually met our deductible due to a hospital visit at the start of the year. I was livid my daughter not knowing paid the entire $500.00 she was told she could not make partial payments and she was unaware of her rights as a patient and the obvious money scam that’s going on. Not only that my daughter was told that she has a germ cell tumor which requires surgery due to the size, she requested that I was called to the back after hearing the news. When I went to the back the doctor seemed aggravated that I asked questions about my daughters health, although his explanation was thorough he seemed to be very dismissive when I asked questions regarding this recent diagnosis (go figure)! I was also very disgusted that my daughter had to push to request an ultrasound, if she had not then this would have gone undiagnosed by this doctor. It also lead me to believe that the office did not submit a request for prior authorization for the sonogram and made my daughter pay their full allowable for the service. No worries I will be investigating more once the services are billed to our insurance. We will also be getting a second opinion. I refuse to patron a healthcare establishment that obviously looks out for their bottom line more than their patient and if I find out that this office is being fraudulent in any manner I will report them to the Department of Insurance. I’m seeing too many complaint about the same billing practices."

Dr. Lacey was so amazing, she listened to my concerns, had options for me that no other doctor had provided and the whole appointment was so pleasant and left feeling like I had a way forward and someone who was an advocate for me. Highly reccomend! Checkin, front desk staf, everyone was so great."
