"The receptionist was extremely rude and non-communicative. Waited an hour after my scheduled appointment time to even be seen. When asked what was happening the receptionist spoke over me and finally explained the doctor was running late and just arrived. Once I got called in it was quick and straight forward and nothing but kindness and respect."

"One sandwich short of a picnic. This is a review for Dr. Annoni a.k.a. Dr. Annoni-Suau who is doing business as West Coast Arrhythmia Center since he founded it, having come to the US as a foreign medical graduate, meaning medical school in Dominican Republic. That school has a lower ranking compared to accredited US schools. Historically that's been ranked as a third world nation, not noted for it's education, research, science, medicine nor technology, The Dominican dream is to get a visa and escape other Dominicans. FL is a destination due to a limited number of training residence available. Many places don't accept these residents since they're considered by some to have marginal qualifications. So, those grads options are limited and an uphill battle to demonstrate competency. He surely has a lot of experience in the decades since ariving here. However, he does NOT presently hold current certification in Cardiovascular Disease from the certifying agency like a cardiologist would, as of 2023. He has NO present certification in 2023 in the much coveted internal medicine either. He does hold an active certificate in electrophysiology in 2023. He calls himself an electrophysiologist. That's adequate. Getting and renewing credentials is a lot of work if one is able to do it. Many can't meet the standard. Otherwise they would all have the certifications I expect. It's the only way I have to know if the doc keeps up with everything. You decide if that's important to you. He makes a ton of $$$ either way. I saw Annoni for the first time although I used this practice for six years with a different doc. Anonni was 1.5 hours late seeing me while I waited. First the nurse did an EKG on me, of course. He told me to go elsewhere. Annoni made no eye contact with me at all, and never looked away from his computer screen. He typed up a novel at his computer. He was silent most of the time. He used my appointment time for his paperwork beaurocracy. He never examined me in any way. He never listened to my chest. He didn't ask much of anything. Doc didn't use a stethoscope even once. My paperwork said various vitals that were never taken by anyone including the nurse. The only thing done on me at the last encounter was an EKG. The nurse did not measure vitals like bp, RR, pulse, satO2, weight, or temp. Somebody apparently just faked some of my numbers like bp which, repeating myself, was not taken. That's either a technical mistake or outright laziness or fraud. Annoni dismissed my chest pain, nausea, fatigue, and shortness of breath as normal. He said they're not problems. Then Annoni got up from his chair to conclude my 7 minute encounter while he had typed the whole time like a glorified data entry clerk. He withdrew from treating me. He has that right. The doc is not obligated to treat everyone. He can decline and doesn't need to say why. This wasn't an acute urgent situation. Writing this in Aug 2023--by which date I have had 10 prior office encounters spanning 6 years at the 3rd floor office building location. Until the present, I was cared for by Dr. Yamamura until he left the practice in Oct 2022, to go to a location 45 minutes south, at Advent Heath. I can't say enough about how wonderful Dr Yamamura was to me. This was a case of "handoff" from Annoni with no examination, and the doc saying that there's no way he would touch me on an operating table, sending me away to handoff to anybody I can find, and not meaningfully answering any brief cardiology questions. What's the point to garbage healthcare like that? I had 3 short cardiology questions pertaining to my care that I asked that only required the briefest replies like: "yes, yes, no" or "no, no, yes." One question was if he was OK with reducing my beta blockers from the dose last told to use at his own office a year earlier? I got no short answers to anything. He said they were all good questions though. He told me to ask a different doc. Just terrible."
