"The Place Where Angels Tread! Is called “Morning Star” and is a place where those children that are a gift given to special privileged parents come during the school year to learn about the ways of this world. This place is very special, a place where hand picked teachers dedicated their love, patience, and joyfulness to show these children the ways of this world. things that we take for granted, like talking, becoming aware of basic necessities, like when to go to the bathroom, and its etiquette, are some of the struggles these children had to go through while adjusting to this earthly life. Morning Star makes me think about the moment when the sun arrives in the horizon promising a bright day, full of joy and abundant in life giving moments. Morning Star also remind the soul that are awaken to the gift of a new day, that this gift is priceless and precious, and that we must live it to the fullest in praise and thanksgiving to the Lord, the Giver of life. Our grandson Liam goes there, as he rejoices sharing the special unspoiled love that he has for all, the kind of love that God Himself has placed in his heart as a little light that brightens our lives day after day. When the time finally arrived for Liam to make his First Holy Communion, we were elated, Jesus, whose love Liam shares with us every day, was coming to abide as it comes to abide with us, in the mystery of the Mass. We, Liam’s family awoke that day with joy and gratitude, today was the day that our “gift from God” was going to receive Jesus in his heart the same way that we do, and there was a joy that cannot be described, he who came from God, as a gift of love to us, was going to share our common experience, and we felt the unconditional love that God has for all his children. Arriving at St. Charles Borromeo that early morning, made feel that peace that I always feel when I’m preparing myself to serve the Lord. My sense of awareness make me noticed the details of the joy that was descending on all those that were arriving to the church, as the words of an old hymn began to engulf my heart with a sense of holiness, “Surely the presence of the Lord is in this place; I can feel his mighty power and his grace. I can feel the brush of angels’ wings, I see glory in each face, Surely the presence of the Lord is in this place…” then the children started to arrive, sharing good mornings and smiles with all, I found myself surrounded by those bearers of this special, unconditional, ever-present love, I was lost in the delicate light that was surrounding all, surely, I said, the presence of the Lord is in this place!"
