I wanted to try every traditional appetizer! But i noticed the empanadas were perfectly crispy on the outside and filled with a delicious blend of seasoned beef and spices. It was a great way to kick off the meal. For my main course, my sister got the traditional black beans and ropa vieja a classic Cuban dish consisting of slow-cooked shredded beef in a savory tomato sauce. The meat was tender and flavorful, and the sauce had just the right amount of tanginess. It was served with fluffy white rice and sweet plantains, which complemented the dish perfectly. Each bite was a burst of flavors that left me craving for more. To complete my dining experience, I couldn't resist trying their famous flan made to perfection, and I was not disappointed. It was the ideal accompaniment to my meal. The service at Rays Cuban Restaurant was impeccable. The owners were attentive, knowledgeable, and eager to make recommendations. They were happy to answer any questions I had about the menu and provided excellent suggestions based on my preferences. And they made me feel like I am on vacation in Cuba. The food was outstanding, the atmosphere was lively w a speaker welcoming a good time and the service was top-notch. "No frills dining in experience, clean and quiet. From order to being served took about 18 minutes, kind of long for the meal I ordered (see pic) and not being busy but both items were super fresh and tasty so no problem. Cuban sandwich — hot and tasty, salad — chicken grilled well, good portion and made with romaine lettuce. Everything served in styrofoam containers, would have preferred plates dining in. Would go back."

"Found this random place in a strip mall with plenty of parking. It’s like a small mom and pop place with outdoor seating. Music blasting from the patio. Only one person working to take your order, make your food and serve you. I got the special Cuban which is the original cubano but with lettuce and tomato. Also got the pizza and beef cheese empanada. Everything satisfied my craving. Until next time…."

"Ordered with DoorDash, food was made quickly. The beef was delicious and, my favorite part, had no fat! The rice and beans as well as the plantains needed some salt and pepper for flavor (why I deducted 1 star.) But overall, pretty tasty! Thanks, Rey’s!"
