"4R is one of the better bbq places in town. The brisket is always good, I prefer to go with the moist. The also have a nice selection of sides. My go to are the bread pudding, baked beans, cheese grits and collard greens. If you want something sweet, they also have a bakery called the Sweet Shop. Definitely worth the the visit."
"The BBQ was good but the customer service was phenomenal. We got the cowboy combo with the brisket, pulled pork, pulled chicken, and burnt ends, with the sides of sweet potato casserole, collard greens, cheese grits and cornbread. The pulled chicken and burnt ends are not your normal versions, but that's not a bad thing. The pulled chicken was more of a chopped chicken with extra sauce and the burnt ends is a combination of brisket and pulled pork and is not as crispy as typical burnt ends. The brisket was good but it's the one meat that is not worth the extra change. The cheesey grits are the side to avoid. The cornbread has jalapeno so it has a big kick, make sure you get some honey, butter or both the help with the burn. The customer service here went above and beyond, they are extremely friendly and helpful."
"Bbq was just ok. The collards tasted like some poured from a can without much seasoning. The fried okra was too salty. The beef tips was ok. The St. Louis ribs just ok. Not the best I’ve had."
"Checkout guy was amazing, the Messy Big pulled pork sandwich with slaw, pickles, & BBQ was very good. The Mac & cheese was very good. The corn bread was ok, could have been better. The lady taking orders did not seem in a good mood."
"Food was mostly not good. Baby back ribs were as tough as St. Louis style ribs. The pulled pork was dry and tasteless. Burnt ends were decent, the bbq sauce saved them. Collared greens had no flavor. Only thing I enjoyed was the Mac and cheese."
