"I ordered the mix and match basket with chicken and shrimp. I ordered French fries for my side. I usually get the red beans and rice. I was not disappointed! Their chicken is just as awesome as the fish! This is a ma and pa restaurant and the owners are the nicest people! They are from New Orleans! You will get authentic food from that city, right here in Clay County! The dine in experience is awesome as well! You are treated like family there!"
"This place screams small town, friendly, and ridiculously delicious food. Upon entering, my sons and I got a warm welcome. She took the time to explain the menu in detail and gave us recommendations based on what we liked. We were greeted shortly after by Mr. and Mrs. Mackey, who were very friendly and made me and my sons feel like family. I even watched them interacting with other customers in the same manner, even remembering what they previously ordered. The shrimp po boy and fried okra were delicious!!! The okra was not your standard frozen breaded okra but was so crispy and seasoned just right!! I highly recommend this establishment and listen to them when they explain the different heat levels you can order for their dishes. Spices, but did not take away from the lovely flavor of the shrimp!"
"I got the fish po boy and it was the best I’ve ever had , the fish was fried perfectly and it was thick pieces of fish. My wife got the chicken and sausage gumbo. The chicken was so juicy and the gumbo tasted unbelievable. If you haven’t tried this place you are missing out! We had lunch here and will be back for dinner it’s that good. Our new favorite place to eat and everything is reasonably priced. So excited we found this gem of a restaurant"
"Fantastic mom & pop restaurant. The portions were generous and the seasoning is on point. Very welcoming environment, great music. We had the shrimp po boy, big shrimp dinner and okra. Their in house dressing is delicious. We’re looking forward to trying their other menu items."
