"I think the use of the kiosks is a bit confusing. And it takes too long to order food. I didn't taste the service, because there was none. We placed an order. And when the order is ready, you go up to get your food. No one did anything. Good luck with this idea. The 5 stars for food was because all I had was a milkshake. And it was very good."
"Like most fast food restaurants this Steak and Shake takes dine in orders by kiosk only. It's not very user friendly. A bit confusing when you get to the drink island. We weren't the only patrons that couldn't get the drink station to work. Quite a set up. No employee there to help out. Fortunately customers helped one another. Food was good."
"My mom and I met for lunch today. She wanted Steak ‘n Shake so that’s where we went. (98 N. In Lakeland) we placed our order at the kiosk. We ordered a single cheeseburger combo and a double cheeseburger combo. Placed our order at 1:09pm. After 30 minutes, I went to the counter where I was met by an employee. I asked her if she could please check on my order, that it has been 30 minutes. She smiled and walked away. I stayed there waiting. When she came back, I asked her that I would like to speak to her manager. She laughed and stated that she’s the one that’s cooking. I told her that it’s been over 30 minutes and this is not funny. The manager never came out to speak with me nor did anyone apologize. After 10 more minutes, our number was finally called. Again, no apology! Very very poor management and customer service. I would not recommend anyone coming here!"

"Had never been to one of these places before. But decided to try it out. Food was actually surprisingly good. Meat was tasty and i always love trying out a grilled cheese type burger. Worth giving it a try if you see one on your travels."
