"The fried pork chops tasted like my mother’s and that’s a good thing. I also had the collards, yams and cornbread. The portions were very generous so I have enough for another meal. It was so nice to find a restaurant with homemade food and all the employees were so friendly. Oh yeah, the strawberry lemonade is to die for. I can’t wait to eat there again"

"We ordered the uptown seafood rice, ribs, pork chops, okra & cabbage. The okra was breaded with corn meal which I haven’t found anywhere. The food was hot & fresh, nothing greasy & some of the best soul food I’ve ever had!! Ty, the owner was so refreshing. The free first timers strawberry lemonade & cupcakes were the extra special little something we didn’t expect. Ty has the gift of hospitality as he brought us samples of other menu items & asked those of us in the dining room what we would like for him to cook. You can tell he loves to cook for his guests !! One trip here & you’ll want to come back & try everything on the menu - We’ll be supporting this local business."

"Ten stars if I could. This place is absolutely amazing. The food is incredibly great. We got a fried pork chop special and a fried fish special with collard greens, fries, fried okra, potato salad, fresh salad with some type of strawberry vinaigrette and cornbread. All the food was just phenomenal. This is home cooking soul food at its best. Collard greens wonderful, fried fish and heck all fried foods were delicious, the batter they fry in is awesome. The sides were delicious. The cornbread is moist, and let me not forget to mention the best homemade strawberry lemonade with chopped up lemons and strawberries in it. Everything was top notch. The employees were so beyond great, super friendly and because it was our first time there very accommodating and let us get a small sample of other sides so we know for next time. This place is a gem, kinda hidden in the corner of the plaza. I promise you will love the food and the portions are generous you will go home full and feeling great. We will be back again and again, best spot in Pensacola in my opinion. Go get you some."
