"We are newer to the area, coming from Colorado where Mexican food is excellent! From the moment we stepped into Big Otes, we knew we found our spot! The vibrant atmosphere, coupled with warm hospitality, set the stage for our "regular spot." The menu boasts an array of authentic dishes; they are served hot and fresh every time. The salsa had the perfect kick, the guacamole was creamy perfection. The attentive staff added to the overall excellence, ensuring our glasses were never empty and our plates were always perfect. Whether you're a Mexican cuisine connoisseur or a newcomer to the flavors of the Southwest, this restaurant is a must-visit. It is definitely one of our favorites in Pensacola!"

"Third time dining here, and I decided it was time to write a review. Tried multiple things, and I've had an excellent experience almost every time. Today, I had the Burrito Supreme, and the beef was a little bland. On my previous visit, I had the Mucho Grande, and that was awesome. On my first visit, I had the Carnitas, and this was excellent also. Margaritas are delicious. Our waitresses was efficient and friendly. I this is a quality place for me."

"I can't believe I'm writing a negative review. My family and I have been coming here since they opened. Food was great, but the service was absolutely awful. After being served our food, the waitress never checked back on us. My daughter had to flag someone down to get a to go box. Never once did they ask to refresh our beverages, or check to see how we were doing. After 20 minutes of waiting, we decided to head to the front to pay our bill. Waited an additional 10 minutes. There were 4 customers in the entire restaurant, not including my family and I. They couldn't give me the military discount due to the manager taking the key and leaving. They also had to run my husband's card twice because they put our bill on two tables (Not sure why). There was no apologies or empathy from the staff for the complete inconvenience that was caused. They simply ran our card (Twice) and went back to whatever they were doing. Sad to say, this is the last time we will ever come here."

"Just had a great dinner here tonight. My only disappointment was that I haven’t been to this place sooner! Service was fast and friendly. The food came out quickly and everything tasted fresh and delicious. I had the chicken street tacos, and I loved how authentic they tasted. My husband had the molcajete, and from what I tasted, it was equally delicious. Portion sizes were generous. I really enjoyed that this place has their own flavor profile and didn’t taste like every other Mexican restaurant in the area. We will definitely be returning!"
