"We absolutely enjoyed our recent stay at Das Beach Haus. The staff with Gulf Tide Vacations were amazing and quick to respond to my emails and questions. The house is gorgeous as well as spotless and inviting when we arrived. It was the perfect location for our Fall Break vacation in Destin. The amenities were also fabulous, and the community was pristine, quiet and peaceful too. We will definitely return next year!"

"This was our first experience with the Destin area. We were not sure what to expect, but had heard plenty of nice things about the area. Well, we don't know exactly where to start but let's mention "Bart" from Gulf Tide Vacations. He was amazing and always available to answer any questions we had. The "Das House" WOW!!! This is one beautiful amazingly decorated home. We loved everything about it from the private bedrooms, cleanliness, golf cart and the pool. Just a Marvelous stay. We totally enjoyed ourselves. "This is my first personal social media post. Ever. Only posting this because the public needs to know about the predatory business practices of Airbnb, and Gulf Tide Vacations(hosted by VacayHome Connect) in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida. In what universe do you make a deposit on a vacay rental, cancel it less than 48 hours later, and the people running the property refuse to refund the money? For a stay that is four months away? Evidently, the universe that Gulf Tide Vacations and Airbnb live in! These companies should be avoided. Here are the details. On May 30th, I booked a one week stay with Airbnb for a family vacay in early October for a house on Santa Rosa Beach, Florida. On May 31st, Gulf Tide Vacations wanted me to E-sign a contract for that stay. The cancellation policy in the contract was too restrictive, so I decided not to sign it, and on June 1st I cancelled the stay. Airbnb lists four levels of cancellation policy on their website, all of which (even the strictest) state a full refund if cancelled within 48 hours of booking. I was inside of my 48 hours, and they refused a full refund. I was told that this property had a “Super Strict 60” policy. This was not disclosed at the time of booking or cancellation. This property was never identified as a “Super Strict 60”, which basically means they keep your money($2k, in my case) if you cancel. Period. Even if you cancel 5 minutes after booking, from what I read. Who has ever heard of such a policy? And they will not reinstate the reservation either. Airbnb has instituted this predatory business practice. The dispute team at Airbnb was disingenuous from the start(spoke to three people in three days) and it was evident that they never intended to refund. The manager at Gulf Tide Vacation, Bart, a real piece of work and very unprofessional, stated he couldn’t do anything though people I know who rent through Airbnb said that the property manager makes the call on refunds. Somebody is lying here. Probably Bart. He should not be working with the public. So public, buyer beware when you deal with Airbnb and Gulf Tide Vacations, when you see “Super Strict 60” go somewhere else for your vacay rental. Dr. Mike Reindl"

"This home was beautifully decorated and nicely appointed. Loved the pool, kitchen, bathroom amenities and driving the golf cart to the beach. We had a relaxing time, but had to get ear plugs for the loud frogs outside the bedrooms at night. They don’t stop their noisy activity until after 2am. Our visit was wonderful other than that issue and the bigger garage door opener may need a new battery as it doesn’t seem to work reliably."

"We loved the house and it was a very short walk to the public beach. We rented chairs so they were already set up daily when we went. We were able to check-in early which was well worth it! The beds were comfortable and the outdoor patio was enjoyed daily by all of us. Having our own personal pool was also a plus. Towards the end of our stay we were double red flags so it was nice to be able to swim. We walked around at night, the community is buzzing and fun. We did have a wasp nest but the owners were super attentive and someone was there extremely quick. The house is well stocked and had everything I needed to cook breakfast or make a quick snack. My only suggestion would be that the house could use a solid deep clean."
