"Service was unpleasant. Got price gouged. The owner knows nothing about running a business and how to keep customers. I won't go back and no one I know will go either."

"Good selection for a neighborhood location. UPDATE 03/08/2023 - New management is horrible! They actually kicked me and a friend out of the store today because we were "looking around"! I was dumbfounded. Browsing liquor stores for new and interesting cocktail ingredients is one of the things I look forward to doing. This store is less than a mile from my house and I owned a business right next door. I'm a relatively recognizable face in this community. We weren't causing any harm and I have spent thousands of dollars here over the last 10 years living in this neighborhood."

"Copy and pasting this every where to get the word out- Neighbors and nearby folks FYI- If you’ve been to Happy Times Package store on Lavista rd, check your credit card statements very very closely. I shopped that store twice in July. Both times my credit cards went missing and fraudulent charges made. Both thefts can easily be linked back to happy times. These charges were made for standard amounts at common stores in the area. Had we not been in Florida when these charges were made in Atlanta, we may not have noticed at all. If you shopped there in July, you might consider getting a new card altogether because they sat on one of my cards for two weeks before shopping with it. I called the manager to offer the reference number for the $.01 pre auth charge made at Happy Times (before the thief headed to Target) so the manager could investigate the situation herself. They appear to have a new employee and I certainly didn’t want her running into trouble for his possible bad actions. She not only didn’t want the reference number, she started defending herself for things I wasn’t even accusing her of. She even yelled at me “people lose their credit cards all the time! We have a box full back here!” Which sounded more like a confession than an excuse to me. Do yourself a favor and stay far away from this store. And please warn everyone. After posting this message on a few online groups, other people shared identical experiences at this store. I am not alone. Don't become a victim too. Avoid Happy Times Package for your own good and spare your neighbors a similar headache by passing this on to everyone you know in the area."

"The coolers are barely cool let alone cold. It's like someone told the owners what cold felt like and they did their best. The staff is also very unhelpful and inconsiderate. In a pinch this place will do but if you want to find a regular liquor store to visit and find interesting things go elsewhere."

"We pulled up in our vehicle as they were closing for the evening. My Hispanic friend walked up to the door as a older white gentleman also walked up, both hoping the employee would let them in at the last minute. After much waving and persuading, the employee walked over to unlock and open the door. But much to my surprise, and the surprise of the others in our vehicle, the employee let the white gentleman in but then started to close the door in my friend's face. He blatantly allowed the white man inside the store as a courtesy, but wouldn't allow my Hispanic friend inside. When others of us, who are white, went to his aid to point out the obvious racism, the store employee then tried to remedy the situation and open the door to him. Needless to say, we were happy to purchase our beers elsewhere. I cannot believe that this actually happened, right in front of our faces. How pathetic and shameful. I understand if the employee didn't want to reopen because it was after hours. But to allow one man to be a patron but not another is truly disgusting. Their money was the same color, but their skin color wasn't- and that apparently is a problem for this establishment."
