"Went yesterday 12/1/23 at around 7:30PM to pick up my store pick up order. I was greeted by a very kind woman who was attentive right when I walked into the store. She helped me get my pick up order since it was my first time and got me in and out in under 3 minutes. Been going here for years and never had that great service till now."

"I went in today to exchange some shoes I bought online from Dick’s a few months back. Shoes broke (heel of Nike Air Zoom pocket lost its air somehow) under use inside the parameters of what they are meant for. Long story short, the corporate Dick’s number told me Nike shoe products automatically come with a 2 year return policy and to take them to any store. Almost seems too good to be true sort of. I went in and was greeted with great confusion and misunderstanding by a cashier of what I brought the shoes in for. A manager was brought over and called corporate. Luckily, while the manager was on the phone, a guy checking out passes me and tells me to go to the 280 location near by and that they are a lot friendlier. The manager lets me know the only option is a non-receipt refund that would be worth basically nothing. My purpose was to see my options (if any and corporate didn’t know what they were talking about) and get some usable workout shoes because I paid a pretty penny for them just to break under normal use. I didn’t want a few bucks. The two stars over one come from the fact that they never were ugly to me and genuinely confused, but the Highway 280 location went above and beyond to get me a similar pair, while this store offered no help."

"I tried to return a spikeball set I purchased a week ago, couldn’t find the receipt. They offered me $2.20 for something unpaid nearly $50 for!!! Some new policy????? I miss good ol consumers rights. I will not we shop here again, academy it is."

"Just save yourself some time and money and go to Academy Sports. The staff was nice, but they don’t sell many outdoors items. Pretty much just sell baseball, golf, shoes, and clothing. If you like camping, hunting, or fishing just look elsewhere."
