"I needed to return unworn sunglasses. There is no return policy posted in the store. I went to return and was told that I could only have a gift certificate to use in the store or online. I was told the return policy was all over online and at the bottom of the receipt (which at that point is to late) despite the fact that I was instore and not online. Then I was not given my full refund I was only given the cost of the sunglasses without the taxes that I had paid because the manager said they had already been remitted and didn’t know how to calculate tax for $25. I was clear that the issue had not been resolved or handled well as they kept money from me that I paid. I was told the account would reach out to me. The CFO reached out and said that I would be refunded the whole amount again to a gift card and she made sure to say that they were ‘eating’ the cost of my sales tax and rewriting the policy since I had brought this to their attention, while in store I also mentioned it would be helpful to see the return policy at the register. I let her know that the only outcome I would be happy with was a full refund to the original form of payment because I wasn’t interested in shopping with them anytime soon after this issue. Their stuff is so cute but gifting around Christmas is expected- I had my receipt and they were unworn. I would expect a return to be for the full amount when I return something and not have to fight for money that is mine."
