"It's old, small, a bit dingy, the shelves can sometimes be a hot mess... but I'm glad this location is here. Prices are often lower on basic goods than the Piggly Wiggly next door, and I can't recall ever having an unpleasant interaction with the employees. The cashiers are usually nice folks, friendly and pleasant. The lost star is for the condition of the store (blame corporate and the shopping center landlord) and sometimes dubious stock compared to other DGs in Auburn-Opelika (blame corporate again)."
"Like so many Dollar General stores in our area, the pitifully small staff of two was very nice, despite the amount of work clearly waiting for them to stock while maintaining oversight of the cash register, serving customers, and likely concerns for their personal safety. I would never want anyone I loved to work in one. They are an open invitation to shoplifters and worse. I usually enjoy the variety of merchandise, but the obvious problems that probably cost the company money and customers makes me wonder how long any of the stores will last."
"Please check your items in the food section. Bought a Hubert's lemonade there today and got back to the office, took a sip, and turns out it had been expired since July of 2019. I'm not writing this review to complain, just trying to give a heads up before you guys get a Karen in there who ends up wrecking your guy's day. Keep up the good work, your store is always superbly clean, and well organized."
"I used to love going into dollar general it was just convenient now they have a no public restroom policy and my daughter had to use the restroom. I put all my items back. I don’t shop at places where my kids can’t even use the restroom."
