"I had been taking my dog to Dog Grooming of Dacula for over a year. A few months ago, I pick him up and he was completely shaved (without my permission) and his groomer Sabrina left without speaking with me. I spoke with Sabrina the next day and did a review on my disappointment. She claims he was matted which I know that was not true. I believe she messed up while grooming him and couldn’t fix her mistake so she shaved him and said it was due to matting. When his hair grew back, I decided to give her a second chance (she typically did a great job). They wouldn’t allow me to schedule until I removed the negative but truthful google review. I removed it, took him back and his groom/cut was great. Took him again last week (less than 3 weeks since his previous groom) and when I picked him up, he looked good until we got home and I noticed how choppy and uneven his fur was cut. Even his eat was cut (which they know to never cut his ears or tail), his Mohawk was completely crooked, nail were barely cut. I called the next morning and whomever answered the phone was rude (those young girls can have nasty attitudes) and told me that if I did another negative review they would no longer groom my dog (like I cared considering they have messed him up twice but it was the threat that got me). They will not bring your dog out until you pay and now I know why the times they have messed up his grooming, he is put in a cage in the back (so I can’t see him or focus on him as I’m paying). when paying over $80 for an 8lb dog to get groomed and the grooming choppy or your dog is shaved is unacceptable. They also get you for tips because you pay and tip before seeing your dog up close. This establishment is very unprofessional (non-employees beyond the “employee only” entrance, kids in the grooming area and a very unstable staff (high staff turnover). I will be filing a BBB complaint as well."
