Jameson Inn Oakwood

"DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY! I have never been so disgusted. The place is completely disgusting. The dead bolt was ripped off the wall, the floor was still littered from previous renters, the nightstand had not even been wiped off, you could see rings of where cups had been setting. As soon as I walked in the room, I knew I was not spending one more minute in there. I called front desk to tell them I was leaving and wanted a refund, i guess we will see how that pans out as it’s a holiday and I’m not going to spend too much time on the phone. I’ll deal with it later, he said “you need to deal with online” the lights in the bathroom flickered like they do in scary movies I chose this location because I have stayed at other Jameson locations before, but I’m 200% sure, that if corporate knew about they would shut them down. ESPECIALLY since their prices are competitive with surrounding hotels! I will be doing everything in my power to get my money back. As I’ve read reviews since, that they don’t refund either, but there was no way in hell I was sleeping in that hole. Oh, and your heat consists of a small space heater sitting on the counter of the bathroom sink. This place needs to be bulldozed."

"It's all around a nice place for a night or two. Great customer service experience, I can only assume I dealt with the owner because he was top of the line professional and was bending over to help me out. I had left my pulg in for my phone charger. He was kind enough to let me use his plug and even let me play with the puppy. Just outside the front doors are some of the prettiest flowers that I've seen. If you need a place to lay your head, this is a great choice"

"When I checked in, the beds wasn't dressed. In facts my sheets and cover was on the floor when I entered the room. That I didn't mind, I was put into a non smoking room but my sheets had burn holes in them when I went to dress the bed. None of that I really care about. What does bother me is I took about an hour nap and I began to feel itchy for no reason. An when I pulled the covers back I was greeted by bed bugs. I showed the guy behind the counter and he recommended me to another room. I check the corners of the bed before he had the chance to leave and upon inspection I could see bed bug droppings in the corners of the mattress. The guy refunded me my money and gave me an attitude rushing me to leave the property. DO NOT STAY HERE UNLESS YOU WILL BRING UNWANTED GUESS WITH YOU."

"The only reason I give it 2 stars is because I know and like the owner. This is the nastiest, dirtiest, roach and bed bug infested hotel I have ever seen. Not to mention that every time I have been forced to stay here I have had to clean my own room and make my own bed. Maybe that wasn't a bad thing now that I think about it. It is outrageously priced for the low quality of room and service you get. There is no breakfast, no vending, and no pool, the only redeeming factor is it is still a smoking hotel."

"Pleasantly surprised. Good location, the staff was nice and the price was affordable. Slightly outdated and had a few cigarette burns in the bed spread. TV had some color issues but worked fine. Bed was nice, microwave and refrigerator were working fine. Relatively clean for the most part. Iron, ironing board and hangers. Clean bathroom and the shower was nice, motel was quiet; what you would expect for the price but I would stay here again."
