"Overall I would love to give a 5-Star Review, however, I booked a cabin over hotel for serenity in a weekend getaway. A driving factor of who I rented from was the amenities which included a hot tub. Every piece of communication once I made the reservation was that the hot tub takes 4-6 hours to heat up. After checking in I immediately turned the hot tub on. 5 hours later it was only at 64 degrees. I called the office and was told that hot tubs require 24 hours to heat up. I tried to explain that my confirmation said to give 4-6 hours - the gentleman snapped back at me telling me to wait the 24 hours that he instructed me to wait before calling back. Great - there goes half of our stay without the most important amenity available to us, but I took a deep breathe and chose not to let it sour my getaway. The next morning the hot tub was only at 66 so I called again and maintenance was dispatched. I guess she came from a nearby town so it took her roughly 45 minutes to arrive, but she diagnosed and repaired to where later that afternoon we were able to enjoy the hot tub. Jennifer (maintenance) deserves a shout out, however whoever answer the phone the night prior easily lowered my desire to rent there again. Much like other reviews, passing this information on has been next to impossible as their website only lets you use 150 characters and the phone number just leads to a switchboard and I have no desire to talk to the same person that tried to ruin my getaway!"

"Great rates! Older, budget rooms, but perfect location, and perfect rates for what is offered compared to other hotels that aren't even on the river. Who's in the room much anyways while in beautiful Helen!? Give them a try, worth the savings!"

"Stayed here 3 years in a row to attend the outdoor Christmas market. Great location, can walk to everything. Very simple room but you can't beat the price. Book directly through them though. Our neighbor paid almost double than use because she booked through a travel site."

"HORRIFICALLY DISGUSTING! Stay away. Stay far, far, away! Not only is this place WAY overpriced it’s not anything like advertised. The paint was peeling from all the walls. The TV in the main room is on a wall that you can’t view from the sofa. The TV should be mounted on a tv mount that is moveable. The wires were hanging out and dangling from ALL the tv’s, an unsightly sight and dangerous if there are small children around. They should be put inside the wall instead of dangling from the tv, or at the least tucked behind the tv. The fireplace, which was a major amenity for renting the condo, did not work. When asked why, we were told they had to shut off the gas because of a crack. This is something that should have been mentioned upon booking or at the least upon arrival and a refund should have been issued. We were charged an addition $125 for extra items which there were none. There were no paper towels, napkins, extra blankets, or pillows. This is the end of November and it was cold! The bed sheet was rough, towels were thin and cheap, and whoever they have making up the beds needs lessons. Trust me when I say DO NOT stay here. Plan your trip way ahead of time and stay somewhere nice."

"Would not stay here again. Old and musty. Broken towel rack, pelty bed sheets . So bright at night, they need to add some darkening curtains. Great water pressure and nice hot shower though. And nice to have a fridge in room. Old motel feel."
