"This restaurant has an awesome vibe. All the live plants and decor give it a peaceful and sophisticated ambience. The service was excellent and staff was very pleasant. However the food was bland. I ordered the Eggplant Papperdelle. The only eggplant I could see was 3 pea size pieces floating around. I was expecting to see more bigger pieces of eggplant. The marinara was bland and ideal if you are on a "no-salt" diet. The pasta noodles were cooked just right though. Our cheese sticks appetizer came with a dipping sauce which was similarly tasteless. The bread with olive oil/vinegar dip was a nice touch however the bread had this kinda soft/mushy texture with a sweet finish. They would do better with a crusty french/sourdough type bread."
"I really enjoyed the food and ambiance here. I wish that we were seated inside the restaurant instead of the overflow seating in an outdoor tent. Other than that I can rave about the food and service received. I enjoyed the Caramel Cake, salted Caramel gelato, bread, cheese sticks, lobster ravioli, and garlic shrimp pasta."
"I really enjoyed this quaint restaurant. The staff was kind and the food came out quick. The cocktails could have been better but overall I enjoyed my experience and will probably come back at some point. The only thing I didn’t care for was the mozzarella sticks but everything else was good."
"Typical pricing of a nicer Italian restaurant around 20-30 per entree. The lamb ragu and the clam white wine dish were very good. I'm not sure if the pasta was fresh or not but you could tell the difference from regular store box pasta; very delicious. The brownie dessert is also very well done. Service was excellent and the sangria was pretty decent as well."
"I went here back on 10/27/23 after shooting pool for the first time. It is in Decatur, and is a nice family neighborhood type vibe. The staff was very nice, and the food was awesomely delicious. I will definitely be going back. I had the Caesar salad and lasagna. I forgot what my buddy had, but everything was hot and flavorful. I highly recommend Paolino."
