"Applebee's can be fun/interesting. Bartender (can't remember her name) was very good at her job. She made multiple drinks, and nobody complained about anything. I was impressed. She took our food order and it came out exactly like we ordered. Problem was portions are always small."

Despite our usual preference against chain restaurants, this visit surpassed our expectations. From the moment we stepped in, we were greeted warmly and received exceptional service from the most pleasant server. Not only did our food arrive promptly, but it was served piping hot and bursting with flavor. The portion sizes were just right, leaving us satisfied without feeling overwhelmed. The cleanliness of the restaurant was commendable, adding to the overall positive experience. This visit to Applebee's was an unplanned outing that turned into a memorable evening. It's safe to say we'll be returning, thanks to the great food, welcoming atmosphere, and the wonderful service that made our dining experience truly enjoyable."

"We really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. I just felt so awkward that our server gave us the impression that she really didn't care to serve us. We had to keep hunting her down for simple issues like the sweet tea wasn't sweet at all, and once we were done, we sat for over 10 minutes waiting for her to appear from wherever she was to request a receipt. No, they weren't that busy, and we aren't needy customers, so that's what made it so obvious!!! All the other guests she was serving were taken care of. We're friendly, great tippers, and hardly ever nag our server for anything because we ask for things we may need while putting in our orders. I overlooked her, overlooking us because I didn't want our date evening ruined so that we could enjoy our meals. I have never refused to be waited on by a server, but I promise that if we are ever seated in her area again, I will request to be seated somewhere else each and every time. No paying customer deserves that type of treatment!!! We still left a tip, but it was only 20% and I felt that was too much for a very underwhelming server."
