"Unfortunately I have had a less than favorable experience with Dr. Simonds. It was quite apparent she was only going through the motions during our short appointments and didn’t actually care about my well-being. Dr. Simonds didn’t give any guidance, opinions, or recommendations of medications for my specific symptoms. She simply prescribed the medications that I mentioned through my own research. Getting an appointment with a new psychiatrist has a significant wait time, so I continued seeing Dr. Simonds until a recent event. My breaking point was when I told her that I would be across the country for three months, two months prior to leaving. She stated no concern during this conversation. During the trip, I was suddenly called by reception and told that I could not attend my scheduled appointment with her across state lines, but was assured that Dr. Simonds would continue prescribing my current medications. I was still billed for the appointment that I did not get to attend. A month later, I called to have my prescription refilled. Five days later, it still was not called into the pharmacy, so I called the office again. This time, I was told that she could not refill my prescription across state lines. I will now be seeking care from another psychiatrist. I would not recommend Dr. Simonds."
