"My child was placed here from our local hospital for cutting and the treatment center is almost 4 hours away from our home. They took my daughter by EMS. I never received a call letting me know she made it or any eta of how long she would be there or her status. I called for 3 days before actually getting someone on the phone! When I did finally reach someone she had no information for me beside the fact my child had made it. It has been over a week and I have yet to speak with a doctor here! Just some very uninformed very unprofessional helpers. I was told yesterday my child would be released so I started the 4 hour drive only to get 2 hrs in to receive a call that they changed their minds because she had a nightmare the night before and they were increasing her medication and wanted to monitor her. That would have been a call they could have placed earlier to have prevented me a days work but these people don't seem to have a clue about much. I would give them negative stars if possible."

"I was there for 4 days in May. This place is not going to rehabilitate anyone. They are totally discombobulated. Staff don’t communicate with each other even if you hound them. They messed up my medication, never managed to get my Xanax so I went through withdrawals(which is dangerous), sometimes gave only half dose of my medication. The only medication adjustment was putting me on trazodone instead of the Xanax, which was absolutely worthless. Their idea of adult therapy is stuff like coloring and word searches. These are things that I did in school back in the 90s. We had to sleep on the most uncomfortable beds I have ever experienced. Our door had to be kept open all night, so we could hear every noise in the building(the doors were extremely loud) and the lights from the halls in our eyes all night. They had no razors(I looked like a homeless man by the time I was discharged), no laundry soap, no shoes(you weren’t allowed to wear your own), no pillows(mine was two tarps), and sometimes no clothes. The one day they had to ration shampoo and body wash. The kids were constantly trying to get in fights with each other and the staff. The nurses and some of the staff were nice and tried to do their best. It’s the way it’s run - not good at all. If I would have known I would have been sent there, I never would have told my doctor about my suicidal thought. I literally was just as bad when I left as when I arrived, except I was way more tired(because I barely slept at all), and stuck with over $10000 of medical bills(I have insurance, but this is the uncovered part). I’m screwed. Edit: The seemingly concerned replies from the business owner are either automated computer responses or just for show. I gave my information like it said, and no one has ever called. They don’t really want to address any of these bad reviews."

"My school sent me here without consent from my parents in early 2017, and threatened to arrest them if they even drove me to the facility. My mother kept trying to call and check on me, and the staff even said I didn’t belong here. To my face, I was told I would be punished for getting assaulted by another patient and crying about it. I have never felt more alone and terrified than that week, spare your children from this traumatic place."

"My son had the worst experience at this facility. He felt unsafe on the unit and said staff was inappropriately speaking to the children and on their phones all of the time. As for myself, the lack of communication from the physicians(?) or whoever runs it clinically was almost nonexistent. Never again Lighthouse…"

"My adult daughter stayed in this hospital for almost two months. During that time, her husband decided to separate from her. Despite my daughter having given them permission to speak to me regarding her medical care and my consistently leaving messages for them to call me, I was only able to talk to a nurse once and her therapist twice (once because I went to the place and demanded information). At that time, I was threatened that they only gave me her medical information out of courtesy--not because they had to do so. My husband and I grew very concerned because my daughter kept crying that she did not belong there and the last week we spoke with her, she had suddenly started sounding distant and drugged. We retained a lawyer to get emergency guardianship so Lighthouse would be forced to communicate with us. The day they were served with the order to have her assessed by a court-appointed psychiatrist, they decided to discharge her. Suddenly the therapist called me once or twice a day, acting as if we had been conversing all the while. Never once was I able to speak to her psychiatrist. She was discharged on so much medication that all she did was stand in place and stare, drooling on herself, and moving around like a person with Parkinson's Disease. Lastly, Lighthouse set her up for daily high-focus therapy at another mental health center, where she currently attends but is only able to dumbly sit in the therapy sessions. Now she is having to slowly wean her off the medication they placed her on so she can participate in her therapy. I STRONGLY suggest that no one use this center for their loved one's care."
