"Stop at Sam Snead’s for an early Valentines dinner. They even had their Valentines menu available. We started with Oysters Rockefeller, lobster bisque and quesadilla. All great. For mains my wife had the make your own pasta and I had the pork chop. Honestly the best pork chop I’ve ever had especially when dipped in their chili sauce WOW! For dessert we had the chocolate ganache cake and strawberry ice cream. Highly recommended!"
"The atmosphere and food were great, fairly typical of an "American cuisine restaurant", but with a bit of the golf touch from the namesake. I had a Ribeye that was perfectly cooked and of true Prime quality. Sides were good as well. Caesar Salad was delicious and will definitely be my go to on future visits. The service is where they really shine. Our waitress was on her game with running a busy section, but everyone had what we needed and never had to "look for a waiter/waitress". Watching the staff in action was impressive as anyone with restaurant experience or even just management knowledge couldn't help but admire the way the staff was handling a busy restaurant and keeping it a warm and welcoming place. Quite often, when a place gets busy, the service becomes rushed and a bit colder. That is perfectly understandable, but at Sam Snead's they managed to balance the "Southern hospitality" with efficient operations."
"Great spot for a sports bar/tavern type of feel. The food is well above average for what you would expect at a similar type of establishment. Make sure you ask for bread- they’ll provide fresh rolls to the table!"
"This restaurant was the best food we ate in our two weeks in the Savanah area. My son remarked that the porkchop was the best he had ever had. My steak was great quality meat prepared very simply and top notch temp."
