Enclave at Brockport

"My family & I live in an apartment complex where the fire alarm is a “sprinkler system” ? & the whole building goes off whenever ONE person sets it off. Obviously, having an 11-month-old during the winter season, this is NOT ideal. Normally, every resident is outside for around 30-45 minutes whether they’re standing out there or in their vehicle waiting it out. Again, during a western, NY snowstorm with a child; this isn’t a good situation for any of us. Plus, trying to get him to go back to sleep… And, we can’t just stay inside & wait it out for obvious reasons: too loud for our som, actual fire, safety hazards, etc etc. We don’t know what to do. We were told we can’t break the yearly lease. And if we did? We would need to give them 60-days-notice & then pay a TWO MONTH termination fee (on top of the 60 days rent); which is NOT in the leasing contract. Nothing about a termination fee - we checked. We did sign a year lease in August of 2023. BUT… we were NOT told about the fire alarm issues that are so frequent & frustrating. Around 15-20 times since move in! And, we were shown a bigger apartment than what we currently have at the first showing. Do you think this is a feasible living condition for a one year old kid? This complex is not in the slightest bit concerned about our child & their compassion is completely out the window. When’s it’s single digits outside in December & January & the alarm goes off… it’s not like we can have our car ready & warm knowing the alarm is coming…"

"These apartments are a great place for college students with spacious bathrooms, a nice kitchen, and living room space. We made some very cool friends here. My only complaint would be the constant fire alarms so I hope that is being worked on."

"The place is very nice and the staff here are the sweetest. There are so many amenities that you can take advantage of here which is the best part. Very affordable for college students that want to be off campus but still want to be near."
