"Arrived after 8pm wasn't expecting front counter to be staffed and it wasn't. Had to use phone to call for service. Guy sounded half asleep and put out that he had to come out and do his job. Showed up at the counter with his pants unbuttoned and fly down. Gave me the card to the room. Room smelled clean and looked decent. But was Definitely a Fixer upper had cardboard in the peep hole and wall patches . I didn't care we were there for only the night. Beds were clean and it had heat and was able to lock the door. 730am check out and again had to call for a person. Again sounded asleep and said to just leave the card."

"Well most of the reviews that were available before I booked were fairly nice. I think the owner picks and choices his review he has control over. Let me begin. I booked a king room, one nite, requested first floor. I got the second floor over the office. There were people hanging outside of their room on the ground, they didn’t look like they had $$! They were sitting on the ground sharing a cigarette. The stairs were concrete totally filthy! The rail was so sticky and dirty I used a small bottle of sanitizer completely to clean my hands then soap and water. I do not like stairs due to an injury. He didn’t seem to listen to me! The room was just ok. The bed was worn out totally.The floor was so sticky my feet were black. Just walking to the bathroom, then I wore my shoes. The lights didn’t have light bulbs in them. The remote needs a new battery it took so many clicks to change the channel and volume. The bathrooms floor was just as stick. Try using cleaning fluid, that cleans and doesn’t leave a sticky film. Why didn’t I get the first floor! I have a hard time climbing stairs. Everything in my room was sticky! The furniture and tables just gross! Now based on reading the newer reviews. That weren’t available to read when I book 2weeks ago. I will not recommend this place if you have a few more bucks go some place else. The owner will now reply with the “ thank you for you review we take your concerns seriously”. No he won’t. Because if they did he would have done the changes the others told him about. This isn’t the only time I stayed in Econo Lodge, but it will be the last."

"This hotel is located in a nice area, where lots of shops are nearby. The staffs of this hotel are also very polite. However, the conditions of the room I was given was not up to my expectations. The bathtub was super filthy and the pillows were not as cleaned. Please let’s do a better job keeping the rooms cleaned. Thank you for the services though. Appreciate it. Also, thank you to Swar for the advices regarding where to go and not go while in Rochester. Stay blessed!"

"We did not expect luxury from this establishment but we did expect basic amenities. The room was a mess. Some one had pulled something off of the wall which left 2 gaping holes. The TV did not work. There was a Keurig machine but no coffee to brew in it. The bathtub was dirty. There were not enough towels or soap for both of us to shower. The ice machine did not work and there was no continental breakfast as was promised. On top of everything, they had the nerve to accuse us of ruining their sheets and put a $50 charge on our credit card!! We are senior citizens not teenagers on spring break! We know how to conduct ourselves in a hotel! They also put someone else's room charge on our credit card! We are in the process of disputing these charges but what a pain in the neck. Never staying here again! Very disappointing!!"

"The condition and location of the hotel was as expected. It’s not nice by any means, but I figured it would be OK based on the price. I reserved a room at this hotel for myself, my wife and two children. When I reserved the hotel online , I was asked for my children’s age and I provided that information and received a price. I agreed to book the room for that price and when I got home from my trip, I looked at my credit card bill and they charged me an additional $40 for the children because of their age which was not told to me at anytime and I did not agree to pay. I called the hotel and notified them of that and the charge was not refunded. I would recommend you find a different hotel."
