"Very clean bathrooms. Dump station and sites. We stayed in a rooftop tent and the land was pretty leveled. Nice beach with great views of the stars at the boating dock after dark."

"Nicks lake is much larger in person that it seems on the map. A fantastic place to canoe or kayak no motors allowed on the lake too many rocks and shallow obstructions for motors. The camp sites are primitive but large and separated by woods i really like the loop layout it keeps the traffic down to a minimum so the kids can ride their bikes."

"I've been to many state parks and Nick's tops them all! Very clean, well landscaped, and the staff goes above and beyond. I had a very quiet and relaxing time at site 112 by the lake."

"As a DEC campground goes it's pretty well run. No electricity and limited hours for your generator. Showers weren't bad and neither were the toilets. It is lightly monitored by staff. Some people were burning their garbage when there is a very large container for refuse and recyclables. The lake was clear and beautiful to look at and plenty of people taking advantage of kayaking. Plenty of wildlife with Mallards walking right through our site. Paved roads in good condition and campsites are what you make of them. We were warned and had to sign that black bears are in the park and the normal bear exclusion measures to be followed."

"Nice campground close to everything the Adirondacks have to offer and cheaper sites than others nearby, good lake for some kayaking, fishing or swimming at the beach with a walking trail all the way around. Small playground and a basketball hoop for the kids (dogs not allowed in this area which was unfortunate, we had to walk back to camp and leave her there although she is very well behaved). Bathroom and showers are clean, our site was right next to them and we saw workers come to do cleaning each day."
