"Every fall we make an escape to this wonderful little hotel. We enjoy Old Forge in the off season. The place is still beautiful, only its more peaceful without the hustle and bustle of tourist season. Water's Edge Inn is always great. Nice rooms, super friendly and attentive staff, great off season prices. Looking forward to next fall already"

"Water's Edge Inn is located within walking distance of downtown Old Forge, including some decent restaurants and shops. It is also across the street from Enchanted Forest, which was closed when we were there in September. The inn is on a lake and has some beautiful views from the rooms and common area on the main floor. The rooms are dated but clean and spacious. The main issue I had with the inn was that there was no elevator. I did not see that information on the website or the promotional information. Stairs are difficult for some people, and carrying luggage up and down is challenging. The woman at the desk did carry bags for us, but it was still necessary to navigate the stairs several times a day."

"Rooms are out dated, but are clean and nice. The hairdryer sounded like it was gonna blow up. The water pressure could pressure wash a house..(awesome) Great location to water park. Great continental breakfast! Lots of duck poop out back of hotel..can't really walk around there, but the dock was nice and they let us fish!"

"The hotel was the only one in the area that I could book for just one night. Over $300 for a lakeview queen, which sounds very nice but it was on the bottom floor and quite small. Furniture is outdated, beds were hard, and the bathroom was so tiny (but clean). The pool is very tiny so not enough room for us to swim with a couple families already using it. Fitness center is just a few machines but decent. Most staff were very pleasant, one lady seemed like she was annoyed to be checking us in and barely explained how to get to our room. It’s basic, location is the best feature. I woke up with 3 bites on my arm…hoping just a spider…"

"The staff was disrespectful and arrogant. They pulled my family out of the water park to immediately vacate our hotel room. I asked if they could help since we are staying one more day. They said to call back in a half hour and never picked up the phone. We lost 3 hours of our day at the park. We made reservations for 2 rooms. One departure on Thursday the other room Friday. This was very complicated for them. They messed up the reservation and had us departing on Wednesday. We had no idea. I never received an email confirmation and they never confirmed the dates when I checked in. The staff at the front desk scolded me saying it was my mistake and we had to vacate the room immediately. Meanwhile, we live over 6 hours away. After reviewing the reservation, they realized when the staff members were switching weeks they messed up the departure date. The hotel contacted us weeks after we made the reservation to say they were overbooked and switched our reservation to a different week. That's when the reservation was changed to Wednesday checkout without notifying us. They never apologized for the mistake. Don't stay here. On the hotel itself. It is out dated and falling apart. There was nowhere to hang towels after showering, so they never dryed. The only thing this hotel has going for them is it's connection to the water park across the street."
